SOUNDSATION RECORDS
Soundsation is Peter Lunn Simon Latham and Martyn the Hat. They have worked in the ever growing progressive dance industry under the name Soundsation since early 1994. After the success of "Peace and Joy", which was first released as a white label (discontinued for an uncleared sample of Lenny Kravitz's guitar riff from "Are You Gonna Go My Way?") and was later picked up by FFRR, ending up being a very large success, even in the states. Since then they have done remixes for the likes of Reel 2 Real, Millennium Vibe, and Ventura. Under the influences of 80's Progressive New Wave such as Duran Duran, and new artists such as BT, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, etc., over the years their sound has changed a bit from the energetic, somewhat funky tracks such as "Peace and Joy" and "Get Up '95" to a deeper, more serious content. In 1997 "Do You Feel It" was released on SOS Recordings (their own label), and later ended up in the hands of Sasha and charted as John Digweed's Fav track of the year on Radio 1. After all that hype Dave Seamen picked the track up to be on the Renaissance 4 compilation, and then to be released again on 12" on Stress Recordings. The time is now 1998 and the hype is just starting to subside, but from what I'm being told Soundsation has no intention on dying with the hype. Their soon to be released "New Direction" is supposed to top 'em all off and put them right back where they belong on the charts. New Direction will first be released on their label, SOS, and from there anything can happen... We'll keep you posted.
