If size and/or model name are unknown, they are put in parentheses. These estimates might not be 100% accurate, seeing it's been a while since I smoked a few of these.
I have recently changed my ratings scale from 0-4 to 1-10, in order to give more precise ratings. Here's a generalized breakdown of the ratings scale: All ratings are subjective values assigned by myself personally. How I rate a cigar is only a matter of my personal taste.

Anillo de Plata (toro)-

I had a much better experience with the toro than the pyramid. It has the same mild-to mid bodied flavor with a nice chocolate taste on the palette. A good-looking wrapper and a smooth draw make this a nice, light smoke.

Anillo de Plata (pyramid)-

This cigar has a nice chocolatey-sweet flavor. Unfortunately, the draw was a bit too tight to be smoked easily. With the exception of the draw, this is a good overall smoke.

Arturo Funte Curly Head Maduro-

This is a good, medium-to-full-bodied cigar. It had a nice, even draw. There were earthy spices and coffee on the palette of this cigar.

Arturo Fuente Curly Head Deluxe-

The curly head deluxe smoked the same as the regular curly head, but with a nicer, smoother wrapper.

Arturo Fuente Double Chateau Fuente-

The Double Chateau is a spicy, medium-bodied smoke. It had a nice wrapper, good draw and a characteristic pepper flavor, like many other Fuente's. A solid all-around smoke.

Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature-

The Hemingway is a good, smooth, mid-bodied smoke with a great, deep-maduro wrapper. It has that trademark Fuente spicy flavor and perfect construction.

Arturo Fuente (seconds)-

My local tobacconist always has a great selection of seconds and bundle cigars. These deep, dark maduros were no exception. They had that classic Fuente spiciness, plus a nice deep body, and the oiliest wrappers I've ever seen. Great smoke.

Ashton Cabinet #7-

This cigar was exactly what I was expecting. This cigar is basically a Connecticut wrapper put onto an Arturo Fuente Hemingway blend. I'd describe it as a "Hemingway Light". It had that Hemingway spiciness, but that smooth, mild Connecticut wrapper on top of it.

Ashton Magnum-

This was a well-built, medium bodied cigar. Cedar and a sugary sweetness dominated this cigar. A great looking wrapper and a nice draw show the quality of the construction of this cigar.

Bagpiper (house corona)-

This was a mid-to-full bodied cigar with a nice, oily wrapper. Although the smoke was a bit rough in places, the sweet, fruity flavor and smooth draw more than made up for it. Very similar to the Don Tomas S.E. 500.

Bagpiper (house torpedo)-

It's not often that I find a pyramid/torpedo shaped cigar that has a draw that is to my liking. This cigar provided a pleasant surprise. It was a mid-to-full bodied cigar with some good earthy flavors with hints of coffee and spice. It had a nice smooth wrapper and an easy draw.

Bances (corona)-

This was an ok cigar. It had a nice draw and an overall woody character to the smoke. The wrapper had a bit of a coarse feel and there was a touch of "chemical" harshness to the smoke.

Bering Corona Royale-

A good draw, nice ash and a pretty metal tube were this cigar's only saving graces. The wrapper had reptilian green splotches. The obviously young tobacco has a harsh, grassy taste. Save your money and avoid this cigar.

Cruz Real (corona)-

I had my doubts when my father suggested this cigar to me, because I've never really had much luck with Mexican cigars. I could tell that my fears were unwarranted before I even lit up this cigar. A great complex aroma hit my nostrils. This mild-to-mid bodied cigar is packed with coffee and chocolate flavors. The only drawback is that the draw is a bit on the loose side, but this is an otherwise superb smoke.

Don Diego Playboy Gran Corona-

This was a well-constructed light-to-medium bodied smoke. It was well made, had an excellent draw and a smooth wrapper. There was a nice, sweet taste to the cigar. Very well balanced all around.

Don Tomas Special Edition No. 500-

A flavorful, medium-bodied cigar. It had a great flavor combination, including some earthy notes and a hint of cherry. Although it didn't cause much of a problem with harshness, the draw was a little too loose for my liking.

Don Tomas (corona)-

This cigar had a strong, overpowering flavor of cedar. My guess is that the storage conditions were less than optimal, because the cellophane reeked of cedar. Rather on the harsh side, probably because of the storage.

El Credito (robusto)-

This is a well made cigar. It is mid-to-full bodied, and has a straight-ahead nutty flavor similar to the Onyx, with a touch of chocolatey sweetness. A good smoke at a reasonable price by the makers of La Gloria Cubana.

Escudo Cubano (robusto)-

Unfortunately, I don't recall too much about this cigar. We were celebrating a friend's 21st birthday. I think I need say no more. I do remember being impressed by a variety of flavors, and I have since picked up another to get a second tasting.

Escudo Cubano (churchill)-

This was a great cigar. It had a nice, smooth wrapper, and a medium-bodied smoke that was packed with complex flavors. It had a nice earthy body with overtones that developed from spice to coffee to cocoa as the smoke progressed. All that and a perfect draw to boot.

Flor de Florez Cabinet Selection Robusto-

I have yet to be less than completely impressed by Flor de Florez cigars. This was a very complex smoke, starting smooth and creamy, and working to a spicy mid-bodied smoke. A chocolatey-sweet taste dominated the first third of the smoke, with pepper and cedar flavors building as the cigar progressed. A tight, yet not tough, draw and a smooth wrapper add to this incredibly enjoyable smoke.

Flor de Florez Miami Blend Robusto-

This is by far one of the best cigars I've ever smoked. It has a great draw, mild-to-medium body, and a complex variety of flavors on the palette.

Flor de Florez Miami Blend Florez Florez-

As always, this cigar really pulls through with a great smoke. A great complex flavor which went from spice to coffee to chocolate makes this mid-bodied cigar a true gem. Great construction and a nice draw top off this excellent cigar.

Fonseca Triangulaire-

This was a creamy, mild cigar, but it was so tight that the draw was nearly impossible. It felt as hard as a rock. A nice herbal undertone on the smooth smoke. The draw holds this cigar back.

Habana Gold Sterling Vintage Robusto-

A very good cigar. It is a medium-bodied smoke with a good draw. It has an interesting balance of spice flavors on the palette.

Habana Gold Black Label Robusto-

A smooth cigar. It had a nice, tight draw and a mild-to-medium body. Unfortunately I was too rushed to enjoy the nuances of the cigar. I would like to try it again at a later date.

Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur No. V-

I had a very disappointing experience with this cigar. It went out four times during the course of the smoke. The flavor of this cigar was full and distinctive, but the construction was lacking. Poor storage conditions at the point of purchase might have also contributed to the problems keeping it lit. I'd like to try another just in case the problem was with its storage.

Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur #1-

The Excalibur redeemed its prior disappointing performance. This mid-bodied smoke was packed with coffee and spice flavors. It was very well constructed, as it held its ash well and had a good draw.

Hugo Cassar (corona)-

This is another cigar that can be chalked up to what I shall now refer to as "liquor store syndrome." Poor storage conditions, in this case too strong of a cedar flavor, might be the cause of disappointment. A strong, harsh flavor was left on the palette by this cigar.

Joyo de Nicaragua Consul-

This cigar has the most unique flavor of any cigar I've tried to date. It had a ripe, fruity taste that reminded me of wine. I found it quite enjoyable. It had a good draw and nice construction, also.

La Gloria Cubana (double corona)-

This was a good medium-to-full bodied smoke. It had a spice-and-coffee flavor and also some sweetness. A good draw and pleasant appearance round out this solid cigar.

La Habanera (corona gorda)-

This was a good mid-to-full bodied cigar. It had some straight-ahead herbal and earthy flavors. It had a good draw and a nice, smooth wrapper.

Leon Jiminez Robusto-

This was one of my favorite mild cigars. It was on the lighter side, but it had a unique flavor that I haven't found in other mild-bodied cigars. My best description of the flavor is a mild spiciness. A nice draw and a beautiful wrapper cap off this excellent smoke.

Macanudo Vintage 1993 #1-

This cigar was a good looking, well constructed smoke. It had a great silky feel to the wrapper. It was a good-tasting mild cigar overall.

Madrigal (corona)-

This medium-bodied smoke started a bit harsh and had a bit of a loose draw. The harshness diminished (although not completely) as the smoke progressed. Cedar, pepper and some earthy, vegetal flavors developed as the cigar progressed.

Montecristo (corona)-

This was a full-bodied cigar with a straight-ahead, earthy flavor. I was expecting a bit more complexity from the legendary Montecristo.

Montecristo "A"-

The draw on this cigar was so tight that the cigar was, for all intents and purposes, unsmokeable. Some earthy flavors were noted, but that was all that was discernible because of the draw. I have my doubts on whether or not this was a fake.

Nestor 747-

This cigar has a nice wrapper. The draw is a bit on the loose side, and there were some signs of young tobacco. These two factors combine to make a smoke that is a bit on the harsh side. This cigar should improve with age.

Onyx No. 650-

A robust, full-flavored smoke. Strong, yet not overpowering. There was a nice, oily sheen on the wrapper. A nutty smoke, with a nut-sweet taste on the wrapper.

Partagas Humitube-

This was a good medium-bodied smoke. It had a sweet taste coming from some tropical fruit flavors, such as coconut which led to a hint of citrus as the cigar progressed.

Pleiades Sirius-

This was a good mild cigar. Smooth coffee flavors and herbal notes make this a pleasant smoke. Good construction and a silky smooth wrapper add to the smoking pleasure.

Primo del Rey Cazadores-

This was a surprisingly good smoke. There was a nice, full flavor to the smoke with hints of saltiness, herbs and coffee. The best description of the cigar was that it "tasted like a meal". It had an even draw, and its wrapper provided a unique flavor. A well-rounded cigar.

Primo del Rey (robusto)-

This was a good smoke. There was a nice, salty flavor on the palette and also herbal and earthy undertones. The Indonesian wrapper lends a unique character to this well-constructed cigar.

Punch Rothschild-

This robusto has some nice earthy and coffee flavors to it. This mid-bodied cigar has a good draw and a nice, smooth wrapper.

Puros Indios Rothschild-

This was a mid-bodied smoke, that had predominately earthy and herbal flavors on the smoke. It had a nice, oily wrapper, but there was a bit of a problem with a tough draw.

Puros Roly (robusto)-

This cigar was a nice mid-bodied smoke. It had hints of coffee and cedar on the palette. Unfortunately, My cigar had a cracked wrapper, but once past the crack, I noticed a nice draw that was just tight enough.

Puros Roly (toro)-

This toro was a good all around smoke. The draw was a bit stiff, but not so much to make smoking the cigar too much of a chore. It was a mid bodied cigar with herbal and earthy flavors.

Romeo y Julieta (petite corona)-

My first Cuban. A medium-bodied cigar with a great variety of flavors, including coffee, chocolate, and spices. This cigar has a perfect draw and excellent construction; it is a true gem.

Sosa Family Selection #8-

This was the mildest cigar I've ever smoked. It was well made, but the flavor disappeared as soon as it hit your tongue. It's just a little too mild for my tastes.

St. Cristobal (robusto)-

This mid-to-full bodied smoke has a bit more aging to do. It had some nice earthy flavors, but the tobacco was noticibly young. The draw was a bit on the tight side, but it didn't put up too much of a fight. An overall good cigar that has potential with aging.

Erock's hot picks:

Favorite overall cigar-

This has to be the Flor de Florez Miami Blend, without a doubt. It's well-made, and it's loaded with some great flavors. You gotta try this if you can find it. Not too strong, not too weak and great to look at.

Best cigar for the money-

This has Primo del Rey written all over it. I usually see them for $2.50 or less, and I've never seen one over $3.50 (even the big sizes). This cigar has a great flavor, and is perfect either before or after a rich, meaty meal. (I make a killer beef stew, and I usually smoke a Primo while I let the stew simmer. Let me tell you, this is a great flavor combination.)

Consistency award-

I've been smoking Arturo Fuentes for over three years now, and I must say that I have yet to have a bum cigar. Perfect draw, perfect wrapper, perfect tobacco every time; you will not be disappointed with any of their cigars.

Full-bodied smokes to try-

If you like your cigars powerful, like I do, then you have to try La Gloria Cubana. I tried them on my local tobacconist's suggestion (Keep up the good work, Nehru!) and, like always, I was not disappointed. Other good full-bodies smokes are Onyx and certain El Rey del Mundo (the fat ones that are wrapped in tissue paper)

Mid-bodied smokes to try-

I've already told you about these- Flor de Florez, Primo del Rey, and Arturo Fuente are great.

Mild smokes to try-

I'm not a huge fan of mild cigars, because I find them rather lacking in the flavor department. I do like an occasional one on a hot day or with a pale ale or scotch. There are plenty of good mild cigars out there (a few too many, in my opinion... or maybe just too few robust ones). A common characteristic, however, are that they are way too overpriced. One that sticks out is Leon Jiminez. It has a unique flavor that I haven't found in many other mild cigars. Pleiades is another good mild one. If you want the mildest of the mild, try the Sosa Family Selection.
