When me (Naomi) and my two friends Jenni and Alicia arrived at First Avenue, we just about died! silverchair's tour bus was right in front of us! We got a picture of that and decided that we should go stand in line (around 4:30) because the show started at 6pm. We stood around for a while and then they finally let us in. When we got into First Avenue, we were shocked at how small is was. So we all walked up to the middle of the floor and waited, while many other fans piled into the little building. Then the show began at 6:00 with a loud roar of music from Handsome. They were awesome even though you couldn't really understand what the lead singer was saying because they were trying to fix the microphones throughout the whole show. While all of this was happening, a huge mosh pit had formed and was in full roar. After Handsome was done, a huge movie screen came down an we watched old movies while they were trying to fix the microphones and set up for Local H. After about a half hour, the screen went up and there stood Scott, Gabe, and Joe from Local H! They really kicked ass. They restarted the mosh pit and played a killer set. Near the last song, Scott jumped into the crowd and started to corwd surf. Then he got pulled back up, finished the song, and left. Once again the huge screen came down. By this time everyone was excited for silverchair. After fixing the microphones and setting the stage, the huge screen went up with a loud roar from the band (Slave). The crowd rushed forward at this moment and continued to mosh visciously. I moshed my way up front and was standing in front of the baracade only about 5 feet away from the band. They continued to play their ass kicking songs, while in between, Daniel kept saying "Thanks" and a lot of other stuff. It was really hard to understand some of it because of his accent and because it was so loud from all of the teeny boppers screaming. Durring "Abuse Me", Bailey Halloway came on stage with Daniel and the band, The lead singer of Handsome also came on stage to sing a song and play with the rest of the band. They played for about 2 hours or longer. Then when the show ended, the movie screen came down again and that was the end. I was sad, but still excited from what I had heard at the concert. I finally made my way through the crowd and found my friends. We all made our way to the souvenir counter and bought 2 t-shirts and a poster. We left the building, met up with my mom, got into our car, and talked about how awesome this show was, all the way home. That was the best night of my life.
