Adam Fancey's Music

I have been singing my whole life and always fooling around on
any instrument I could get my hands on. In grade 7, I joined the
school band as a percussionist and have been playing ever since.
I seemed to take music more seriously than other percussionists
because it seemed they were only there for an easy credit. Sure
it's easy, if you make it that way for yourself, but I tried to
be flexible and play as much as I could in the section. I played
most of the percussion instruments, but it wasn't until grade 12
(last year) that I started doing more instead of reading rhythms,
and I started reading the notes as well when I began to play the
bells, chimes and vibraphone.
People seem to think I play many instrument, but I'd like to
learn about twice as much. Here are some of the instruments that
I play sometimes: (the ones with the "*" are the ones I have, the
ones with @ are the ones I would feel confident enough to take to
the stage or studio)

Not a whole lot. I'd still like to at least learn the mandolin, banjo, and flute. Sax would be nice, but I don't think it's ever going to happen. I bought an average harmonica, but I can't get the jist of it yet. Like I said though I fool around a lot on things. In grade 8, I needed to start making something of myself so I joined 587 Whitney Pier Air Cadet Squadron. I joined the band as a junior, and by February I was playing with the senior band. At the end of the training year, I received an award which I continued to get for the next 4 of my 5 years of cadets as top drummer. In grade 9, I joined the school jazz band and also the jazz choir as well. I started to perform on stage the next year when I backed up a guy doing the "Grease" theme. I also began to play guitar that May and by September I was playing in my church choir. This gave me a lot of experience as well as flexibility in styles. By grade 12, I was singing solos on stage and backing up bands with guitar and/or vocal. I graduated with being voted as the most musically inclined male in my school. At Mount Allison, I am now in the symphonic band,(click for picture of band.) jazz band, and part of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra. I'm learning a lot and I love it. Here are some great bands that I love to listen to:
