The application form for the Convention
For those who haven't been there and for those who don't know what it is: an explanation first....
This years Queen Convention is held 18-20 April. After the event, this page will be filled with lots of photo's and a report on what happened. Normally I take many hours of video during the Convention. This year I'll make photo's especially for this page!

The Queen Convention is an event organised by the Official International Queen Fanclub. It is an annual event and it's visited by 1800 Queenfans from all over the World! More are not allowed because the Holidaypark can only fit that many fans!
The Convention is a 2-day event. The fans are being held busy with all kinds of Games and Sports and Quizzes. The last 5 years the Convention was held in a Holidaypark in Southport, near Liverpool, Great Britain. This year the event is moved to another park in Prestatyn, Wales, again not far from Liverpool, but on the other side of the city. The park in Southport has a large ballroom, a hall where 1800 people easily fit in. The new park has 2 ballrooms. Ofcourse it's not just sports and games, during the weekend 2 huge disco parties are held inside the ballroom(s). 2 large videoscreens show Queenvideos, Queenmusic is played all the time and a huge lightning rig hangs above hundreds of Queenfans dancing their hearts out! Also a major thing to which many fans look forward is the Saturdayevening disco: ALL FANS HAVE TO BE DRESSED! Each year there's a different theme. You can dress like the theme, a Queen bandmember or whatever you like. It's sometimes quite hilarious and lots of fun seeing all those fans dressed like anything you can imagine! The theme of the 1997 Convention is "Country and Western", a theme used by Roger Taylor on one of his own parties!
