Nirvana (or earlier versions of the band) did play this more times, but this is the only available recording as of now. I haven't been able to figure out the chorus or solo yet, but here's what I have figured out so far: Intro: (bass, 4x, then the guitar comes in) G|------------------------ D|------------------------ A|---------------5-7-7-7-- E|-0-0-0-4-5-6-7---------- Guitar intro/verses: (faster tempo than the bass) e|---------------------------------- B|---------------------------------- G|---------------------------------- D|---------------------------------- A|---------------5-7-7-7-7---------- E|-0-0-0-4-5-6-7-------------------- Unknown 11/08/89 Jam This song is commonly referred to as being the Ventures' "Walk, Don't Run". The main riff played over and over is something like this: Guitar: e|---1-2-1------- B|---------3----- G|-2------------- D|--------------- A|--------------- E|--------------- Unplugged Bass Jam At Unplugged, Krist plays this little jam after "Dumb". Is it a cover? G|---------------------------------------- D|------------8----8-10~-8-10-8----------- A|-10-10-8-10---10--------------9-8-10~--- E|---------------------------------------- </plaintext><hr length=100%><plaintext> Added 03/16/99: Pipeline (Ventures cover) Kurt jams on this song right before Love Buzz on 11/26/89. This is only the first part, I haven't tabbed out the rest of it. e|------------------------------------------------------ B|------------------------------------------------------ G|------------------------------------------------------ D|-----6-8--6-8-10-8-6-8-10-8-10-8-6-8-6---------------- A|---8-----------------------------------8-------------- E|-6---------------------------------------------------- Don't fear the Reaper (Blue Oyster Cult cover) This is the jam played before Dumb on 2/25/94. It's played 8 times over all, and some notes are variated, but I think this is the riff that the pattern follows throughout. e|---------------------------- B|---------------------------- G|----------------7-----5----- D|-----5~~------7-----5------- A|---7------7-5-----3--------- E|-5-------------------------- Run to the Hills (Iron Madien cover) This jam was played after Dumb on 2/22/94, while Krist is talking about drinking Coca-Cola. Some say it's a Hole song, going under the bootlegger name "Time to Kill", which was played live in 1995, because it has a similar note progression, and some claim it's the unheard song "Dough, Ray and Me". This is only the first part, I haven't figured out the rest. e|----------------------------- B|----------------------------- G|-------------4-------5------- D|---4-5-5-4-5---5-4-5--------- A|-5--------------------------- E|----------------------------- Friends (Sly and the Family Stone cover) This riff is most well-known from the song "Play that Funky Music" by Wild Cherry, but I've been told that that song is a rip-off of "Friends" (I've heard that the real title is "Thank You" - which is correct?) by Sly and theFamily Stone. Kurt and Krist jam on this song on 5/29/91. e|--------------------- B|--------------------- G|--------------------- D|-----2-0-2-----0-2--- just like this, over and over A|-----------0-2------- E|-0-0-----------------
