After arriving in country three days ago, USMC Corporal Sam Campbell went through some rigorous testing before being admitted to the Lightning 48 team.
After completing the necessary paperwork in the Orderly Room, Cpl Campbell, under the watchful eye of Commander L48, Admiral Dan Jensen, USN, completed several gruelling activities and tests of strength and endurance. Whilst Cpl Campbell's exemplary service record speaks for itself, no Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine can join this elite force without Adm Jensen's personal "Oakey Dokey".
Pictured is Cpl Campbell completing a 10km forced march (individual) carrying two sand filled ammo boxes; the Jeep pull (supervised by the Admiral) and the obligatory push-ups.
Cpl Campbell also completed a BFA (basic fitness assessment) and CFA (combat fitness assessment) - he passed with flying colours.
Cpl Campbell now
joins this multi-national elite team stationed at Lightning 48.
