Lightning 48 had a special team on the island doing classified research. A week ago HQ Lightning 48 lost contact with the team. Surveillance fly overs shed no light on their disappearance and satellite imagery is strangely distorted.
CO Lightning 48, Admiral Dan Jensen, made the descision to send a one man recon onto the island in an attempt to solve the mystery.
The recon revealed that the island was booby trapped and research equipment had been smashed up. No sign of the team however.
After approval from HQ USDOC at Thunder
Bay, Admiral Jensen and his Adjutant, Captain Mann decided to send in a
3 man team to gather more intelligence and to mount a rescue operation
if feasible........
