The Sound of Music | Drawings by Finlay Miff |
The Sound of Music By Shiney Love Fags in the ashtray, Cats on the stair, There go the nurses, With luminous hair. Straightjackets, white coats, The radio sings, These are a few, Of my favourite things. Moonbeams and thickets, And men with dark glasses, I remember the days, When I went to French classes. Magpies and bluebirds, Big fluffy doves, I wore a beret, And pink rubber gloves. My turn in the laundry, Folding the sheets, Dreaming of poems, Written by Keats. Bedtime is looming, The darkness draws near, Strap me up sister, In your leather gear. Here in my bed, I start to think, Why the world's full of lightbulbs, And spiders aren't pink. Good morning! |
