For this week I have selected "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" by Wang Chung. Who could forget that classic lyric--"Everybody Wang Chung Tonight!" Wang Chung, originally Huang Chung, is not Chinese, despite their best efforts to sound like they are. In fact, it is rumored that the name comes from the sound the guitar makes if you play it a certain way. I'm not so sure about this, but it could very well be right. The song is the kind of fun song that the 80s was so full of-- it was silly, yet it never pretended to be anything else. The song was fun, not memorable, but for it's nostalgic value alone, it is worth bringing back up.
