James Osterberg (a.k.a. Iggy Pop) was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

After seeing The Doors perform in 1968, Iggy decided he wanted to be a Rock singer. He started The Stooges, one of the loudest, lewdest band ever.

Their 1973 L.P. "Raw Power", was a major influence on everyone from The Sex Pistols to Mötley Crüe. He wrote "China Girl" with David Bowie in the early 80’s.

With his album "Brick By Brick" featuring the hit "Candy", Iggy reconfirmed his musical entrance and stance for the 90’s. He also got in to the movies; he appeared in the sequel of The Crow: "City Of Angels", as one of the bad guys, and he really did it good.
