Bits and Pieces About the Band

Name: Micheal Raine Maida

Born in Weston Ontario Canada.

Changed his name because he thought 2 Mike's in the band would be confusing

He is the vocalist, guitarist and lyricist for the band.

Has started to use yoga and meditation due to three knee surgeys and has chronic back problems.

He also reads alot and has changed 2 books into songs (Starseed=Starseed Transmission by Ken Carrey and Hello Oskar=Hello, Oskar)

Raine joined the band just before he finished his Criminology Degree at University of Toronto.

Music Influences - Sinead O'Conner, Janis Joplin, Jeff Buckley, Tool and U2.

Has one younger brother.

And he has a tatoo on his back....but no-one knows what it is...darn! :o)

He was 17 when he joined OurLadyPeace and now he is 22...*hhhmmmmm**wink*

He has one brother and 2 sisters.

He plays the drums for the band.

His musical influences are Miles Davis and John Caltrence.
