Review by Jonathan Ratcliffe

After I got FLAvour and the Columbian Necktie single I was anxiously awaiting the Comatose single. I was hoping, however, that the remixes of Comatose weren't like the remixes of Columbian Necktie on the Columbian Necktie single. The first remix of Columbian Necktie wasn't changed enough from the original version (the GOA version by Tim Schuldt was totally different I guess). I wasn't disappointed with the Comatose single. The first two tracks are total remixes of the original (although similar to each other), and the last mix of Comatose doesn't even sound like the original at all. The new unreleased track, Oblivion, is excellent as well. Overall, Comatose is not a disappointment for me.

Comatose (Valium 15mg) (4:33)

Excellent mix. The intro is shorter than the album version, and the voices have been totally redone. Lots of new sounds and effects have been added to the song too.

Comatose (Ketamin 45mg) (6:50)

Just a variation of the Valium 15mg version. A few things were changed.

Oblivion (7:10)

This one's new. The lengthy intro sounds something like the beginning of Corruption of FLAvour. Oblivion slowly builds up to an electronic symphony of layered sounds. Very cool indeed.

Comatose (Prozac 75mg, remixed by Eatstatic) (7:34)

Eatstatic remixed this one. It bears no resemblance to Comatose to me, except for the "He who summons the magic" sample. Still, a good one.
