The 18th Birthday - by Morgan Barta and Alison Witte - FIBgrrl54@aol.com

Hallie flipped over in her bed. She moaned as she realized it was still dark. She sat up and looked around, disoriented.

"where am I ?" She asked herself.

The room she was in seemed to be a hotel room. She fell onto her pillow because her head was pounding. She closed her eyes, and when she reopened them, she noticed a second bed, and a light on in the bathroom.

"Hey Birthday Girl" Cara whispered as she popped her head out of the bathroom.

"Ugh, Cara! I feel awful." Hallie groaned as she rubbed her head.

"Well, I have a couple reasons why you would," Cara said as she jumped on to her bed.

"One, its 6 a.m.; two, you were up till 4 last night; three; you were way too drunk."

"No wonder I'm never gonna do that again!" Hallie grumbled as she pulled the covers over her head.

"Well, I ordered a wake up call at 11, and we have a concert tonight. Plus, were going out for lunch. So, you better sleep off this hangover or you're goin to be in lots of trouble!" Cara laughed as she went back to sleep.

~~~~Later that day ~~~~
The two girls decided to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. Hallie felt better, but she still had a slight headache.
"Didn't the BAckstreet Boys come here last time?" asked Cara.
"Yep, they sure did." Hallie replied as she took a bite of her burger.
"Wouldn't it be crazy if we bumped into them here?" joked Cara.
Hallie got a ting in her stomach just thinking about being face to face with Nick Carter. But, as they got up to leave, the ting quickly turned to disappointment.
After lunch, the girls decided to go back to their hotel room. The walk would normally be about five or six blocks, but Cara and Hallie decided to cut it short by cutting through the alley. They had been walking for a minute or two, when they saw a man standing by a building,
"Uh oh..." muttered Hallie.
"Looks like trouble." added Cara with a smile.
"Hey Cara," Hallie said, "doesn't it look like A.J. from a distance?"
"Actually, it kind've does. But, I don't think it's him."
"Yea, me either."
As they got closer to the man, Halli and Cara questioned the identity of him even more.
"I swear, Hallie, he's a clone of A.J.!" Cara laughed as she grabbed Hallie's arm.
"I know! He looks just like him...from the back." Cara agreed.
Finally, the man turned around, and he took all of their doubts away. The man that looked like A.J was A.J.
"Ohmygod, Hallie..." Cara squealed under her breath.
"Cara! Cara! Cara! Don't say anything!!" Hallie whispered.
"Just Calmly walk by." Cara added as the two girls were practically screaming.
As they walked by him, they heard him chuckle.
"Ohmygod, is he laughing at us?" yelled Hallie, not able to control herself any longer.
"You guys don't have to be scared to talk to me. I won't bite." A.J. laughed.
"Well, see, um.." Cara mumbled in amazement.
"Yea, see..." Hallie said unable to speak.
"Aww, you guys are so cute. How old are you two? You guys seem older than our regular fans. I mean not that I don't like them or anything, but you know..." A.J. commented.
"HI!" hallie blurted out.
"I can't believe it's A.J.!" Cara said with a huge smile.
"Well, I guess I'll let you two calm down." He said as he sat down on a chair that was set up again against the building.
"We're calm." The two girls said together.
"That's good." A.j. said smiling, "So, how old are you two?"
"I'm 19." Cara said.
"And I'm 18." Smiled hallie.
"Ah, that's good. You two won't be illegal." A.J. joked as he winked at the two girls.
"Haha." they laughed together.
"So, what are you doing here?" asked Hallie.
"Oh, we just got done with a quick photo shoot and an interview with channel 9, or something. I'm just down here waiting for the other guys." A.J said leaning back in his chair. The two girls thought he looked very, very hott. he had on baggy jeans with holes, a PIMP shirt on, and a red baseball hat on.
"That's cool. We're going to your concert tonight." Cara said as they stepped a little closer.
"That's cool. You'll enjoy it." he winked.
Just then the door opened and out came Nick, Brian, Howie, and Kevin
"hmm, look at what A.J. got in the short time he was down here." Nick joked.
Hallie couldn't breath when Nick spoke, and Cara was fixated on Brian.
"These are..." A.J started realizing he didn't know their names, "Sorry, I never got your names."
"I'm Cara, and this is Hallie." Cara answered as she poked her stunned friend in the side.
"Nice to meet you ladies." Brian said as he extended his hand to them.
"You two!" Cara smiled as she shook his hand, and almost didn't let go.
"Hey." Nick laughed, realizing Hallie had been staring at him the whole time.
"Yo, Nick," A.J. yelled, "they're older too, 18 and 19."
"I can tell, A.J.!" Nick laughed.
They all went around shaking hands and they talked for a while.
"Well,"Howie started, "We better get going."
"Aww.." Hallie groaned.
"Well, where are you guys sitting?" Brian asked.
"Um, ground floor, section two, center seats, row three. Why?" Cara asked.
"Well, maybe we'll have a little surprise for you two." Brian smiled.
"I see.." The two girls said together.
The rest of the guys gave them hugs and said 'see you later'. As their bus drove away, the two girls jumped and screamed.
"OH MY GOD! HALLIE WHAT JUST HAPPENED?" cara screamed.
"AHH!" was all Hallie could manage. they just stood there until they recovered.
~~~~~ A Couple of minutes later ~~~~

"Those girls were nice." Howie said, smiling.

"Yea, they were." Kevin agreed.

"Guys!" Nice said, "The girl with the shorter blonde hair, Hallie, that one. Damn! She was pretty hott!"

"Oh Nick, what happened to Mandy?" Howie asked.

"Um, we've been done with.." groaned nick.

"They were cute." A.J. added.

"Hmm, you know which one I liked?" Brian asked.

"Which one?" the guys asked rolling their eyes.

"I think Cara was really cute, but I do have Leigh Ann." Brian said.

"Ok Brian, ok.." sighed Nick and A.J.

"I love her." Brian smiled.

"You're the only one." Nick said as he got up.

"Oh, Nick.." Brian sighed.

"She's such a bitch!" Nick said as he threw his hands in the air.

"You don't even know her Nick!" Brian said as he got up.

"I know enough to say you could do a lot better. Where's the paper with their seats?" Nick asked trying to avoid a big fight.

"Here." Brian said handing Nick the paper, then walking out.

~~~~
"Hallie, does my hair look ok?" Cara asked standing in front of the morror.
"Of course it does Cara. it always does." hallie answered with her usualy response.
"Ok, I'm taking your word for it."
The two girls finished getting ready, and hopped into Hallie's new car and went to the concert.
More to come!
