It may be hard for you to believe, but reading a good book can be one of the most memorable experiences. Rockin' Readers
Born showmen A.J. and Howie have more in common than just velvet voices and smooth dance moves. Both babes say they love to curl up with a book by their favorite author Roald Dahl. It's no surprise that Dahl wrote super fun flights of fantasy that perfectly match these "Larger Than Life" performers' personalities. For example, it was Dahl's supernatural comic thriller "The Witches" that captured 22-year-old, wild-guy A.J.'s imagination. "It was the first book that I ever read all the way through," he recalls. As for kid-at-heart Howie, who turns 27 this month, Dahl's classic "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" is his favorite book of all time.
For A.J. and Howie's groupmate Brian, BSB's 1999's Millennium CD marked the 25-year-old's debut as a bona fide songwriter, as he penned "The Perfect Fan." Therefore, it makes perfect sense that this aspiring music mogul says "Hit Men" by Frederic Dannen, a collection of interviews with top pop songwriters and producers, is his personal fave page turner.
And while it would totally make sense for Nick's No. 1 book pick to be a crazy-capered comic- after all, he did help create "The Backstreet Project", BSB's comic book adventures- the 20-year-old nature lover says "Living Free: The Story of Elsa and Her Cubs" by Joy Adamson, a story of lions living in the wild, is really his fave read.
Finally, we're sure that your choice for Kevin's top title would be something as super serious as he is. Maybe an epic like "War and Peace" would suit him? But would you believe the talented 28-year-old is devoted to Dr. Seuss? "I think my favorite were 'The Cat in the Hat; books," he explains with a smile. Yes, you read it here, Boppers!
