Alrighty, well I attended the concert on Friday, January 23, 1997 in Wash. DC. When me and my friends were driving through the city to get to the place where the concert was, I SWEAR I saw a guy who looked IDENTICAL to Brian!! I couldnt believe it, I thought it was him!! Even like 8 feet away it looked sooooo much like him!! That was kinda a funny way to start off the evening. The concert was at 7:30, but me and my gal pals decided to get there early (good thing!!) We got there at 5:30, it was freezing, raining, and windy, but WELL worth it!!

At maybe around 6:00, there were only like 20 people on the side of the building where I was. The doors had not opened yet. I was just chatting, when I heard a couple of girls scream, and of course, it had to be one thing!! BSB was walking around inside the doors right next to us, like 5 feet away!! I only saw Brian & AJ, but I think Kev was there too. Brian wasn't really looking at the fans, but Howie was. To me it seemed kinda weird seeing them in person, sort of deja-vu'ish!! Everyone was too busy screaming, I think I was the only who thought to actually wave. So I waved right when I saw Howie walk by, he looked, smiled, waved, and did that little shot-gun thing to me!!! Damn.....that caused me to unconcontrolablly smile forever. At around 6:30, the BSB walked around again!! I saw Howie, Kevin, and Brian, but I think all of them were there. I tried to take a picture, but I don't know if it came out or not yet!! Finally they opened the doors at like 6:45. Get this, 'No Cameras Allowed" Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! It totally pissed me off!! I probably could have got away with taking pictures, if i brought an extra pair of batteries 'cause thats what a few people did. (The %#@*in security guards took them out of everyone's camera!!) We had pretty good seats, 10th row, but I was against the wall. But, that was a good thing!! My view was great, and being against the wall gets you noticed more, 'cause theres too many people in the center, but with a wall, you can jump up against it and get their attention. There were three freakin opening bands, playing 3-4 songs each!! It took forever until BSB finally played!! I forgot the first band's name, it was a woman w/ two dancers. Then it was a group called "She Moves" (they sing a song called "Breaking all the rules") and another group called "Los Tenqo Deniros." The first two kinda sucked, but Los Tenqo Deniros was cool, everyone was up and about grooving. By this time, I was totally deaf on one ear!!

After the last opening group finished, it was like another 20 minutes before BSB came on!! Too many people were standing on their chairs, etc..etc...breakin' all the rules. Everyone kept starting a round of chanting "BACKSTREET BOYS!" Some guy, who is supposed to come on stage came on and said "You know....Nick is gonnna be dancin' kinda funny tonight, ya know why? Cause ladies, I have his underwear!!!" So he starts waving Nick's boxers in the air, and throws them to this girl. She's so damn lucky!!!! Finally, it was....BACKSTREET TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They performed for like 1 hour 30 min I think, and it was 1 1/2 hours of absolute heaven!!!! I was too wrapped up in dancing and singing, and trying to get their attention, that I hardly remember what songs they played!!! They played most of their songs from the USA album. It was kinda weird though... Because I was totally deaf from the increadably loud but cool music, all the BSB kinda sounded like the chipmunks!!! It was kinda weird, I thought I was hallucinating, but damn my ear!!! Hmmm.....whose attention did I get... I got Howie's again a few times, which was cool. In one hand I did the peace sign, and in the other, I did the "i love you" sign, and he saw me, did the same exact thing, and pointed!!! Ahhh!!! That was totally cool, I'm pretty sure he noticed me a few other times, ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! I think I made eye-contact with Nick like 4-5 times, but I'm not totally sure. Kevin noticed moi too!! I did the "i love you" sign in both hands, He saw me, and did the "I love you sign" in both hands and looked/smiled at moi. AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE KEVIN!!!! I made eye-contact w/ Brian a few times, jumped up and down like crazy, like a mexican jumping bean (although I pretty much did this during the entire show!) waved my hands like a crazy person, and he waved, with one of those baby-like waves!!! I don't know if I got AJ to notice me or not, but I think I made eye-contact with him several times. Seeing them in concert is absolutly incredible!!!!!! They are such good entertainers....not to mention that they are all also incredibley sexy guys!!

I was so excited about the concert, that I realized that I hadnt eaten anything since dinner, the previous day!! All I could think about was "BSB BSB BSB BSB BSB BSB BSB BSB BSB BSB BSB" that I wasnt even hungry, and I had the energy of someone drank like 10 cups of coffee!! You get so hot in there, even more so if you plan on dancing and jumping up and down the entire time, like I and my friends did!! Man, I think I must have lost like 3 pounds that night!! That night, I went totally deaf in one ear, and lost my voice from screaming "KEVINNNNNNNNNNNN" the entire time!!! BUT, it is SOOOOOOO well worth it. On a scale of 1-10, I give the concert a 9.9 It was sooooooo great, but the opening bands played for WAY too long, and there should have been more BSB!!!
