St. Louis, Missouri -- TransWorld Dome -- March 7th, 2000



where to start..my friend, lara, and I've been chatting in tommy's for a year and her home is in st. louis, but she's going to lexington, ky for school..so either it was me or her that talked about getting tix for this concert..she did get me one when they went onsale in dec. and i finally asked my mom if i can go last month lol So mom decided I should fly instead of driving (it takes 4 hours to get to St. Louis). We thought my car wouldn't make it on the way, let's just say it's kinda a crappy car, not really, but it had major repairs 2 summers ago..anyway, I had my 1st flight early tues afternoon..it took 45 min to get to the airport..I talked to this nice lady, in her 50s and she knew who they were! And how she's been hearing how good their concerts were! So we talked about the concert stuff and how i've decided to go to another concert that's not even at home...the flight took 40 minutes to get to st. louis..

finally there!! so there was my tommy chat buddy (lara) waiting for me..on the way to her house, we got stuck in traffic but found a shortcut...her best friend (linzi) was waiting for us..she's also a tommy chatter..we (lara, her mom, and linzi) got ready and left the house at about 5:30p..we saw a lot of cars w/ bsb written on them..and young girls we see in the seats, knowing they were going..so here we were, only moving 3-5 mph on the highway..for an hour..then we had to go thru downtown to the venue/parking garage..that was full..just about..we were planning to be at the venue at 6-6:15, but the traffic ruined it..we were going to try for the PF thing and to get dennis..he knew we were going to be there..

we finally got there at 7..fight more crowds and to find our way to the seats (we were at section 122, row HH, seats 12-14)...we saw dennis checking out his keys! but he wouldn't be able to hear us if we screamed for him..i took pics of the before concert and when everyone was in there so you can see how big i was talking about lol..even this one section was empty for some security reasons..it was weird..they had a lot of screens..which it kept going out during the show! ahh..i'll get back to that though..we went out to get food/merchandise while jungle brothers were on..i only got the comic book (only $10!), which is sooooo cool!! then while i was standing in line to get a drink and french fries,..they have tv screens out there, so lara and i watched mandy, i mean willa ford lol she was alright..it just didn't look like her w/ brown hair...we get back to the seats..omg..the screaming is just crazy!! we were also supposed to meet other chatters, but we were late...god, there were so many teenies around us...in front of us and behind us...the seats weren't bad either..we were kinda in the corner of the long side/short side..we had to wait for an hour for them to come out!! so ppl were chanting bsb, and this is the best part..for the last half of waiting, the WHOLE arena (excluding floor..meanies! jk) did the wave for 10 minutes!! it was really cool!! yeah, the floor didn't join!! oh well..finally.

bsb came out!!! and there goes the screams!! it wasn't bad; we could still hear them sing pretty well, the talking was kinda hard to understand in that big ole dome..i'll just do some highlights..i don't know if kev does it at every show, but when he does the saluting, he looked at the camera (we watched the screens most of the time) at the corner of his eyes and gave that little sly smile...know what i'm talking about? omg, i was freaking LOL bri-bri just blew me over even more..he was funny, of course, but they showed him a lot..and he was one of the arena's faves and aj..and nick..even nick laughed during his introduction..about the comic book lol..he was pretty cute..i loved that 'do! oh yeah, there were no families insight, and i'm pretty sure leighanne was on the other side, which i couldnt' see...probably on bri's side..it was nice of them to point out the highest level..saying hi up there...don't want u back was nuts..does bri do this at every show? cause when he first got on the ladder, he shook it! lol somehow, i thought that was funny or what, but i was going weird when he did that..lol for some reason nick didnt' stay on his ladder long...oh yeah, aj dyed his hair blond..not bright blond, but brownish blond..they talked about the rams..nick played the drums during Back To Your Heart the PF was soo cute..kev was talking about it and he had this cutest little girl! she was like 5! he asked her what her and her mom's name was..and the girl gave him a hug and that face kev gave! whoa! this was when the dumb screens were malfunctioning, which was driving us nuts, cause that was the only way we could see them up close..during qpg, all of them were doing flips..we were on aj's side and he had silly string..but howie was doing these fast flips at the end! geesh..go D!! whenever mindi, dennis or tommy (and others) were on the screens, we would say go mindi, etc and these girls in front of us kept looking at us! lol obviously they didnt' know who they were..dennis has cut his hair to his shoulders..it seemed like bri got his bball a little late, but he was like acting a goofball on the middle thing before he got his ball..more frick and frack, and again there goes the screen!! so no frick and frack on screen, but i took pics of them on stage....k i think this is when the stuff falls..they had black and white beach balls w/ mcy.com/bsb concert thingy written on them..so that was only to the floor!! (if anyone has an extra or would be on the floor, please get me one!! let me know!! thanks!) they also had confetti and skinny balloons..which nick was picking on aj, kev and brian!! even this one part, nick was following aj and nick was using the balloon to tickle aj's neck or ear..something like that..it was funny though..he kept doing it till the end of gotta be u ..he's a goofball..also, he was picking on kev and guess what kev did? he took the balloon away from nick and ripped it! lol i so hate it when ppl start leaving!! even before gotta be u, it was quite a long break..anyway, for iwitw, bri, howie and kev came out w/ rams shirts w/ their names on it!! and the #'s 00..that was cool..they had us sing part of iwitw..we were really getting into it..at one point, nick came upclose to the camera and kiss it!! imagine seeing that on the screen?! whoa! big lips!! I took a pic of that, but it didn't come out :( oh yeah, how could i forget about the record part..before gotta be u, howie came out and said they got a head count and that we broke the record for being the biggest crowd in the US!!!!!!! he didnt' say how many, but we heard on the radio on way the way out, that it was 65,000-75,000!!

i think the show ended at 11..but on the way out was crazy!! even we were trying to go out of the doors and everyone was touching shoulders!! the venue is weird looking..it's not like a normal round, it was like a half of circle and i think there's a back, but we didn't even bother..which i wanted to see the band again soo bad, but there were just too many ppl..i took a pic of front of the venue too..then it took forever to get into the parking garage..we were on the 4th fl..and we sat there for an hour!! we were trying to exit, but cars weren't moving!! we were getting kinda annoyed by the teenies next to us..there were 6 of them and had a car blasting w/ bsb and singing really loud and u know how garages are echoy!!! geesh..i even saw 2 girls that had sticker like passes!! i think they were the actual ones!! then it took another 45 min to get her house and it was 12:45...linzi went to go home..she doesnt' live close..so lara and i just ate a late supper lol and she showed me pics and one of them was bri's high school!!! then we checked our emails...we finally went to bed at 2:15..then we had to get up at 5:30! ick..cause her flight was at 7:30 and mine was at 8..it takes 45 min to get to their airport..while i was saying bye to her, i saw this girl that also went to the concert, cause she had a ball! coolie! while i was waiting to be boarded, i just got a glimpse of bsb in the blue outfits on their local news!! i think it was aj or nick that was in the front. i went straight to school after i got to the airport..which i was late to my first class, but it took another 20 min to find a place to park...it was a crazy day cause it's really windy!! so i finally got home at 3..

all in all..this was my 1st out-of-town, 3rd concert, (2nd Millennium) and i had a blast!!! even though it was a very short trip!! hopefully i'll be able to do this again!!! and congrats for reading till here!! :) (again, i was using the 800 zoom kodak max. The screen pics didn't come out, i think it was bc i was too far for the resolution of the film. Also, they missed more, so i'll be getting reprints!)
