There are mainly two type of
"listening" Nirvana fans. The ones that buy the records, singles, imports,
and compiliations if they are lucky. Then there's the bootlegger, the one who has
severel illegal (gasp) recording of shows. Regardless of lawsuits, fines, and other
civil activity, bootleg trading still exists.

The page has some changed
somewhat since its last review. It has deleted the frame in the top left-hand
corner, however it still manages to keep the left-hand frame. The page still has a
black background. The layout is fairly simple and somewhat organized.
The graphics does have something to do with the
download times. Although IE and Neoplanet did considerably well, for those
first-time visitors, the page will be fairly difficult to download on slower modem
connections. Why? The main thing I found that absolutely killed the download
time was the image map located in the middle of the center pane. In a matter of
seconds, the page downloads, almost complete; but the image map still downloads, slower
and slower. My suggestion? Get rid of the image map, keep the frame, or get
rid of both and use tables. The navigation image map in the left frame will look
different in several browsers.

The Page
This is strictly a trading page, so you really will not find
the usual informative sections like you would anywhere else. That's perfectly fine
as long as the page lives up to it's standard. Here are the following sections on
the page:
- CD (Compact Discs) - Contains the following list:
"From Tthe Muddy Banks Of the
Murray," "Morituari Sautant," "More Live Tits!,"
"Revolutionary Debris," "Live In Austin TX." Also contains
interview cds and "incoming CDs."
- Audio - This section has improved a tadbit since my last
visit. In this section there is a table that lists some bootlegs, click on one and
you will get a setlist. I would recommend adding some audio files, or at least a
review of the bootleg.
- Order - Here you will find some forms you can fill out
according to what you want to trade. All it requires is the show and your e-mail
address.
- Videos - Similar format as the audio section, click on a show
and you will get the tracklist and length of the video, including comments.
- Trade - By filling out a simple form, you can fill out the
show you want, how much your willing to offer for it, and your e-mail address. I
would insist that the page offer some price tags; people will become suspicious if you
don't.
- Bad Traders - A list of bad traders. Link does not work.
- References - See some of the webmasters favorite traders.
- Links - A few, if not a lot, of links to Nirvana sites.
- Bootleg FAQ - Some great information about bootlegs,
how to get them, what to do, etc.
- Prices - A list of prices on certain types of formats, and
other information you need to know.
- Extras - A link to the Concert Chronology and the Live
Recording FAQ.
Conclusion
Well, this is a fairly good bootleg page. The best thing
I found in this page was the Bootleg FAQ; for those of you who are starting out with
trading, or want to get started, this is definitely your page. For the more
experienced traders, I've seen a few shows that I have not heard about much, so you may
want to stop by the page.
