NoFx

... NO FX ... LIVE IN LOSHEIM (GERMANY) @ ROCK AM SEE FESTIVAL '99 (03/JULY/1999)

NoFx started their show at about 9.15 pm as one of the two headliners (the other Losheim headliner was a German HipHop band called 'Die Fantastischen Vier'). Fat Mike couldn't jump because (as El Hefe told us...) he'd hit a tree while snowboarding in France, but Melvin and Hefe did... There were moshpits all over the place from the first chord of 'Punkrock Elite' on to the last chord of the show. I remember two of my friends when NoFx got started. They were laughing because of the jokes and three seconds later they ran away in panic :) We had pogo all around us and there were guys running towards us from the back and those in front of us were coming back at us. It was pure fun! They got pretty scared, looked at each other and then ran away... I stayed in, though. Fat Mike made fun of a guy in the front row who'd been kicked in his balls. There was one punk guy looking quite tough with huge spikes and so, so we thought he'd be the only one to make it through the whole show in front of the stage, but actually he had to be taken away after 5 minutes because he was completely exhausted. The last song was 'The Brews', and all the bands that had played before joined NoFx to sing along...

Unfortunately my pictures aren't very good, because it was getting dark and I was too far away...

A friend of mine (one who'd not run away :)) was a little more successful. David 'Kamikaze' Mannes somehow managed to get in the front row and take the following pictures... He agreed to put them on this site. Thanxalot!
