No Use For A Name

... NO USE FOR A NAME ... LIVE IN TRIER (GERMANY) @ THE EX-HAUS (24/NOVEMBER/1999) (FAT PACKAGE '99)

No Use For A Name made a great evening end up in a big bang... The audience went furious and everybody was moving in a way or another... Dave Nassie seems to be very happy with No Use and played great, I'm shure he's on his way to be a good succesor to Chris Shifflet. Matt's knee seemed to be OK again, too, so nothing could stop No Use from making a great show... They played a cool set containing songs from all of their FAT releases, like 'Justified Black Eye', 'Daily Grind', 'Not Your Savior', 'Invincible', I think most songs were from 'Making Friends', because the new album 'More Betterness' is a bit slower (but not shitty at all!) and probably all in all less explosive live.

I could have had a picture showing me together with Tony Sly and Matt Riddle, but somehow I messed up a bit... I saw Tony passing by outside the Ex-Haus before the show and tried to catch him at the bus. Nobody else seemed to have noticed him... We met when he wanted to get on the bus, probably to have a shower because he was all wet, we talked a little, I gave him a short demotape of my band Carefree (a link to our website can be found down there...) (I wonder if he's listened to it :)...), but when I asked him if I could take a picture of us, he didn't want to, telling me to come back after the show, because he wanted to get ready for the show. Matt joined us, said hello and they both told me to come back to the bus after the show and get a picture of the whole band. Happy as hell I said OK and see you later and went in, where Consumed had already started. The only shit about the whole story is that after the show, they didn't get back to their bus too soon, not even after 45 minutes, so I went home without a 'Jeff & No Use' picture because I was with friends and we had to get home... :(

(It seems they went to Burger King around the corner at about 12:45... Bad luck :)...)
