» CHAPTER SIXTEEN: EVERYTHING'S OK «

Nick walked into the dance studio. “Hey Nick, what’s up man?” Brian asked as he practiced his dance moves.

“Well, the good thing is that Allie and Valerie are here and they are getting a record deal” Nick said, gladly.

“And the bad news is….” Brian said questionly as he stopped to take a drink of water.

“The bad news is that AJ freaked out at Valerie and she ran off crying so now everything is messed up” Nick said, sadly.

“Why did he freak out?” Brian asked.

“He thought that she wanted Ryan,” Nick said, plainly.

“Ryan?! From what I heard about what went on between Valerie and AJ; he has no reason to think that she would leave him for Ryan” Brian said, laughing slightly.

“Yeah, I know. He ran off to go and talk to her, maybe they’ll figure things out” Nick said, hopefully.

“I hope so, when AJ’s down in the love department, he gets really grumpy” Brian said as he took his towel and wiped off the sweat on his face. “So, how are you and Allie getting along?”

“Just…” Nick started.

“Fine” Allie finished for him as she came in the room and gave Nick a big hug. Nick wrapped his arms around Allie’s waist.

“Hey Allie” Brian said, with a smile.

“Hey, how’s it going?” asked Allie.

“Well, I just broke up with my girlfriend, but I think that we just weren’t meant to be” Brian said, trying to give his best smile.

“Oh, I’m sorry. You know… the other member of our group is coming down here tomorrow; her name is Jana and maybe…” Allie said thoughtfully. "Maybe you could show her around. If it isn’t too much trouble” Allie said, with a glint of evil in her eye.

“Hey, that would be great!” Brian said excitedly.

“Wow, calm down there boy. You’re a little anxious to find another woman aren’t you?” Nick asked.

“I don’t want to live a lonely life, ok!?” Brian said defensively.

"I didn’t mean…” Nick said trailing off as he saw Valerie and AJ walk into the room, hand and hand. “Well, well, well, what do we have here?” Nick stated more than asked.

“Hey Brian,” Valerie said happily.

“Hi!” Brian replied.

Valerie wrapped her arms around AJ’s neck and whispered something in his ear; AJ smiled and kissed her. After they pulled back, Nick spoke up. “Gosh AJ we leave you two alone for 10 minutes and you guys act like you just had a wild night" Nick said, smiling.

“Uh?” AJ said, confused. “We never had a wild night.” AJ looked at Valerie as if asking if they did have a wild night, but somehow he forgot.

“No, we didn’t…. gosh Nick, get your mind out of the gutter!” Valerie said, looking at Allie, who was staring at Nick as if he were an angel.

“Well, it’s kinda hard to with Allie standing here…” Nick smiled down at Allie, who was blushing.

Howie and Kevin walked through the door. “Hey, guys!” Kevin said.

“Hey!” everyone said at once.

Howie walked over to Allie and lifted her hand and kissed it. "You’re looking more beautiful than ever” Howie said, sweetly.

Allie was kinda shocked, but she decided that Howie was just being kind. "Well, thank you” she said.

Kevin smiled. "Anyways, guys, Fatima wants us to meet her in her office right away. She needs to make sure she knows what songs we are going to sing for the tour.”

“Ok” Brian said, grabbing his things.

"Well, we have to go practice some songs, so I guess that we’ll see you guys around” Valerie said, giving AJ a big hug.

“Bye” AJ said as he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.

“Bye Allie,” Nick said sadly. Allie gave him a hug and a long kiss.

"Umm, Allie, we gotta go” Valerie said, tapping Allie on the shoulder.

“Uh? Oh, yeah… sorry” Allie said, pulling away from Nick. "Bye guys.”

Valerie and Allie made their way back to find Ryan as the guys went to Fatima’s office.
