his record was supposed to come out for the celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of "New Rose".The reason was that the label started in june 1980 because of and thanks to Chris, with the release of "Paraylitic tonight,Dublin tomorrow".It was the start of a new label and a long and great friendship.

Labels come and go.New Rose will not celebrate it`s fifteenth anniversary,Last Call makes it`s first steps.
How much fun it is start a new label!
It makes me remember the day when I first met Chris in London...
I was hoping to convince him to release a record on a label that did not exist yet,did not have any money, only a lot of enthusiasm.
He could have laughed at me and advised me to take the next ferry back to Paris.

Fifteen years later and we are still having the same fun!

"Encore"does not,as originally planned,celebrate any anniversary.
Who cares! This CD is a collection of great songs-many of which he wrote-the other ones he loves-by an extraordinary singer/songwriter/performer/man:Chris Bailey
