Secrets
Shadows on cars
Faces on trees
And I don't quite know
Where I am
Awestruck at your egotism
When you let me in
And let me go
The shallowness of our emotion
Distinctly shown
So many different roads
And ways to go down them
Mirrors and windows
And healthy solitude
And fictional feelings
Cluttering a lazy drowsy space
A place you'll never know
Structural incompetence
Amidst an electric stove
Which needs no flame
That can be turned away from

Accept what is
Smile at trees
With shadows and faces
Who know the secrets
Of my heart.

Always wanting more
Always feeling touch
Always needing words
Inexistant time
Sanctuary streetlights
Shivering in innocence
And the paradox
Of what is

No shame
Or I'm lost inside myself
I'm lost despite myself
And my words
Strength is the essence
Of my duty to myself
I can be alone. I must.
So I'll go climb a tree

And never have an answer
Can I be without devices?
Shadows
Mirrors
Trees
The secrets of my heart.
