    •  Objectives for the fall of 1998:
  • I hope to atttend a four year university, and to eventually study abroad, studying Humanities. I have been accepted to the private university: Whittier College.
  • I hope to become a part of the Young Americans, a touring performance group. I have auditioned and have the opportunity to become a new member in the fall of 1998.

    • Goals for the Future:
  • I hope to extend my studies of various languages and cultures. I would someday like to work for the United Nations.
    • Work Experience:
  • My fathers apple orchard in Oak Glen, CA: I have worked as a cashier, maintainence apprentice, and mostly been involved with customer service for approximately 11 years.
  • At my church, and at the homes of family and friends: I have been paid to babysit children of diverse quantities, ages, and enviornments.
    • Volunteer Experience:
    With my youth group;The AFSC/SCQM Joint Youth Service Projects:
  • Cleaned a polluted stream that ran through a migrant camp near the Mexican Border.
  • Sandbagged in hills above a community after fires & before heavy rains.
  • Distributed bagged lunches to needy on the street.
  • Painted homeless shelters in nearby community.(In association with Habitat for Humanity.)
  • Painted bleachers at an inner city park in Los Angeles with L.A. Works.
  • Two joint projects with Friends Outside
  • (An organization that provides fellowship & support for prison inmates & their families).
  • Volunteered at the Wildlife Waystation
  • Reterraced a hill above the cages of exotic felines.
  • Reverend Carl Bean AIDS Hospice (two occasions) barbequing, and spending time with AIDS patients and their families.

  • Winner of District Rotary Speech Contest on the Rotary's Four Way Test. Theme: Volunteerism
  • Medal in the category of: Interview, at the 1997-1998 Academic Decathlon for L.A.County. (Entire team placed 26th out of approximately 60 schools).
