Sweet Lorien Cattery has been breeding smoke persians since 1990 using the very best solid lines in the country which include: Midas, Marhei, South Paw, and EZluvin. The smoke gene can be traced to the Midas line of Midas Snowberry, a shaded cameo. This is also where the sparkling white undercoat our cats are known for comes from. All of the other cats from the above lines are solids.

Scout is a Cream Smoke Cameo Male
Scout is our first dilute smoke. He is a cross between a Midas blue/cream smoke female and an EZluvin solid blue male. We are very proud of this boy because of his unusually pale cream coloring coupled with about 3" of sparkling pure white undercoat. This is a rare occurance because with cream smokes the white undercoat tends to be creamy. In natural light, he appears to be a warm pink color.

CH Sweet Lorien's Storm Chaser Black Smoke male. Chase is presently being shown. He is grand pointed and still making finals.
Lyra Shaded Golden female. Lyra is from Iceland. Bred to Chase, she is expecting her first litter mid July 2000.
