Testing powersupply capacitors: The two switches allowed easy A/B comparisons.

Panasonic FC 270uF and Vishay Ero 1837 15nF are soldered directly to pin 5. GND is fed back to the PCB.

I followed the cooling solution presented on Doedes homepage. The aluminium parts are redsigned for bigger surface. Temperatur is 28° above ambient.

Overview:   accu  / battery checker / loader / additional capacitance / DAC board / coupling caps / digital inputs with relay switch.

Inspired by the link below, I've made a simple headphone adapter. It works o.k. even with these headphones (32Ohm / 106dB sensitivity).

The six Rubycon ZL 2'200uF and the Wimas are placed parallel to the battery. The BC 15'000uF and the Epcos 2.2uF are supporting the Panasonic FC 270uF and the Vishay 15nF at the tower. Parallel the Panasonic, Epcos and Vishay: you'll get an excellent coupling capacitor.

Wire salad around the front panel switches.

Most of the space inside the housing is occupied by the accu. The housing is made of MDF and laquered with "Feuer Mahagoni Lasur."

...as well as the back panel (and the cooling for the DAC tower).
