Boys will be boys and girls will be....robots?? It is the distant future
and Motosuwa Hideki is heading off the college, well sorta. He
still has to pass the entrance exams, as well as make money, and of
course, have some kind of social life. Lacking both brains and money he
really couldn't do anything until he stumbled upon a trashed personcon.
For all of you who don't know what a personcon is, it is a computer
that looks like a human. The computing capability varies with each
one, as well as looks. Being the resourceful person he is, he takes
the personcon and lugs it home. As Hideki learns more and more
about a personcon, the less he knows about his. What is the mystery
behind his (and why is she soo damn cute!?)?
What to say about Clamp's Chobits...IT ROCKS! I don't care
who you are; you have to watch this show. It's funny as hell and
the romance is damn good. Sure the romance is not as intense as
Onegai Teacher but it makes up in every way shape and form.
The character drawings are just SUGOI!!! Colour is damn good too. Each
character, besides the main, develops just amazingly. Everyone in the show
is lead down their own path and to their own special ending. To put
Chobits in one phrase: DAMN GOOD!!!. This is one of the animes at the
top of my anime mountain and one EVERYONE should go watch.
