Another anime based off a game, this time it is Enix's
pride and glory: Star Ocean 2. Being a little smarter this time,
I started watching this one with some caution and prepared to be
let down like FFU. To my surprise, the anime was
quite good (maybe that would be a bad thing for Squaresoft). Since
the anime was based off the game I knew the story pretty solidly
so I expected no surprise twists. Sadly I found a few but they
were not that severe. The colouring and drawings were good enough
to stand up to good animes. The soundtrack was above average, and
characters were just like in the game. So overall, this adaptation
of a game to anime clearly beats FFU. Most of
all, Star Ocean 2 fans will like this a lot.
