The Earth is in danger! The Invaders are here and taking over
the Earth slowly but surely. Here comes the Earth defense force the take
the Invaders and show them who is boss. GATE OPEN!!! Born with
the power of "gates" each person has their own unique powers and
limitation. Be it materializing swords or the powers of the wind
itself this group knows how to get the job done. Will the defense force
be able to save the Earth or will the Invaders win and wipe humans
off the face earth.
Gatekeepers 21 was pretty good. Although being only a few
episodes long it gets the job done well enough. I found that this
series was actually better than the original (Gatekeepers). Each
character had newer powers that were more unique than the first,
not to mention the cell phones making up for the powers we loved in
the first one. The action scenes are nothing less than amazing.
Even though they have supernatural powers each battle seems
realistic enough. The only down fall of this anime is its ending.
After watching it over and over and over, I still didn't get it.
Oh well, there can't always be a "great" ending to every anime.
