Five Cards

The following descriptions and designs are meant for a tiny side project. As of this moment, nothing is definate about it. The only thing done are the rough descriptions meant to get a general feel of what is going on. As for the images and descriptions here, they're simply an excuse to design some non-organic looking mechs.

EH-02 "Joker"
EH-02 Joker
The second prototype series built. All limbs are heavily reinforced and powered, suited for a carrying heavy armament and armour. Early test models suffered numerous joint and structural failure due to the immense operation loads necessitated. However, without its standard armour and weapons, the unit is overpowered, exhibiting extremely high mobility unanticipated in its original design specs, often causing excessive stress failures. Therefore without the extra encumbrance of its standard equipment, all final production He-01 models are equipped with a limiter. Though this system was never used in the test EH-02 models.

EC-03 "Knave"
EC-03 Knave
A command type powered suit with an advance sensor array and other prototype systems. After initial testing, mass production was cancelled due to the massive construction costs. Handicapped by the lack of further testing, the EC-03 remains plagued by numerous technical problems.

EM-06 "Hearts"
EH-06 Hearts
The sixth prototype being developed at the Flannier-Shott installation. The EM-06 is the initial prototype of the D-04, a fast response powered suit. Early models lacked the ground effect hover system, although the enhanced power plant was already in use for compatibility testing. Also, the EM-06 bears no difference from the mass production model other than the lack of the fast mover system. The sixth series also carries a new enhanced AI/OS to facilitate better response time to pilot commands. The OS was later implemented in the other prototype models. However, the system was deemed too expensive and pilot specific to be used in the mass produced model.

EM-07 "Diamonds"
EM-07 Diamonds
Meant as a light reconnaissance unit, the EL-07 mounts the most advanced sensor array among the early units. One of the last experimental units built, it was originally meant as a test bed for the sensor system using components from existing units. Other than styling differences, the EL-07 also does not differ much from the mass production unit. However, it includes an extremely costly feedback control and command-type communication system not found in any final models.

EH-08 "Club"
EH-08 Club
The EH-08 is a final pre-production model. Other than minor styling differences, it is physically identical to the mass produced HH-002 type. However for testing purposes, the majority of its combat equipment was stripped. It does not carry the standard armour, nor does it come equipped with the heavy weapon mounts. The EH-08 is also less complicated than the earlier Flannier-Shott prototypes, using considerably less parts and simpler electronics, although it is similarly equipped with the advance control OS/AI. Other minor system modifications were also implemented during the course of the testing.

D-04
D-04
Although sharing similar technology and a similar high mobility chassis, the D-04 followed a different development path from the EM-06. A mass-produced suit, production was shortly after early testing of the EM-06 prototype. It lacks the advanced systems installed in the EM-06. However, it is better optimised for combat, mounting improved armour. An integrated reactive shield system is part of its standard armament.
