Doraemon is a futuristic robotic mechanical cat sent from the 22nd Century in a time machine by Nobita's grandson to improve Nobita's life. He was born on September 23, 2112. He is 4'3", weighs 58 lbs. and 12 oz. The original Doraemon used to have a pair of ears and yellow in colour. But one day, while he was sniffing, his ears was bitten by a rat. And because of the extreme awfulness, his body turn into blue. From that day, he became afraid of rats.

Nobi Nobita is the only son of the Nobi family. Nobita is a 4th grade kid that Doraemon was supposed to help. He is an extremely lazy kid, whose only hobbies are sleeping and read mangas. One would assume that Nobita is a dumb-witted child from the 0's he got on almost all of his tests (He got 95 once,100 once, and 60 once, the rest are all 0's).

But when you look at the ideas he can come up in desperate situations, or the ideas he can come up with the use of Doraemon's futurist tools, you would say that he is pretty smart.

Nobita is a good natured person, but often uses Doraemon's devices to avoid work. Nobita has one thing that he excels from the rest. It is his shooting. He had saved the gang in the adventures more than once with his dead-eye shooting.

Most of the stories circles around Doraemon helping Nobi Nobita overcome his daily troubles, including his schoolwork, his relationship with Shizuka, how to get around his mother's punishments, or how to escape from the cunning Suneo and the school bully Giant.
