Real Occupation when not surfing on the
net: I'm a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. I've been in
the AF for 17 years and in computer maintenance the whole time.
Mainframes, minicomputers, PCs, and sometimes a toaster for the
Commander.
Places I've been stationed:
Technical school at Keesler AFB, Missippi.
Don't want to go back.
NORAD Cheyenne Mt. Complex in Colorado
Springs for 4 years. I worked in the computer lab
repairing the bad circuit cards and peripherals. Yes, I was a mountain mole.
Misawa Air Base in Northern Japan for
8 years. I repaired mainframes and minicomputers.
Excellent assignment, that's where I met my wife. While I was there I took 15 semester hours in
Japanese from the University of Maryland.
Boerfink Mountain Top Kaserne Germany
for 1 ½ years. Ran a PC repair shop and oversaw GTE
contractors. Did a lot of touring. Great beer. I finished my associates degree there.
RAF Croughton England for 1 ½ years.
Repaired PCs for the base and installed new equipment.
I did a lot of touring there also.
Presently at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma.
Supervisor for the AWACS computer maintenance back shop.
I'm working on my Management/Computer Information Systems degree
from Park College.
Hobbies: Fishing, computers, and reading.
