I wrote this for a friend named Andy Han last year (2000). I wrote it for him because in his pictures he had the most worry-free smiles, and when I talked to him, he seemed to always have an issue to talk about.
I wrote this thinking that everyone has their own share of issues and problems, but it's how you take it that really matters. If you take it with pessimism, you'll never get out of the dark hole you keep digging further into. So smile, and take it head on, cause others are watching, whether you like it or not, and if they see a bright smile, they'll know that you'll make it through, and they'll know that you're going to get past the darkness.
And while i wrote this for Andy, I also came to realize that this poem I wrote adapted very well for people who seemed to be doing not so good with their lives. It seemed to be a picker-upper for them.
"it can't rain all the time."
