- "True love is like ghosts, which everybody talks about and few seen"
- "A champion is someone who gets up when they can't"
- "Some succeed because they are destined to,
Most succeed because they are determined to"
The contest lasts for moments
                        Though the training's taken years
It wasn't the winning alone that
Was worth the work and the tears
The applause will be forgotten
                        The prize will be misplaced
But the long hard hours of practice
                       Will never be a waste
For in trying to win
                       You build a skill
You learn that winning
                       Depends on will
You never grow by how much you win
You only grow by how much you put in
So any new challenge
                      You've just begun
Put forth your best
                      And you've already won

Dying For Love

In a path where I did so well,
I met a boy I loved so well.
He came into my heart by me,
But now this boy has se me free.
He took this girl upon his knee,
And told her words he never told me.
For this I know the reason why,
For this girl was much prettier then I.
I went home that night and cried on my bed,
And not a work to my mother was said.
My father came home later that night,
And searched the house from left to right.
There through the door he had broken down,
And saw me hanging without a frown.
On the bed side this note was found,
And in this note these words were bound:
Dig a hole and dig it deep, in a marble tomb from head to feet,
And on the tomb please place a dove,
And tell the world I died for love.
Moonlight Ride

Jenny was so happy about the house they had found
For once in her life t'was on the right side of town.
She packed her things with such great ease
As she watched her curtains blow in the breeze.
How wonderful it was to have her own room,
School would be starting, she'd have friends over soon.
There'd be sleep-overs, and parties, she was so happy,
It's just the way she wanted her life to be.
Ont he first day of school everything went great,
She made new friends and even got a date!
She thought, "I ant to be popular and I'm going to be.
Because I just got a date with the star of the team!"
To be known in this school you had to have a dout,
And dating this guy would sure help her out.
There was only one problem stopping her fate,
Her parents had said she was too young to date.
"Well, I just wont tell them the entire truth,
They wont know the difference; what's there to lose?"
Jenny asked to stay with her friends that night,
Her parents frowned but said, "All right"

Excited, she got ready for the big event,
But as she rushed around like she had no sense.
She began to feel guilty about all the lies,
But what's a pizza, a party, and a moonlight ride?

Well the pizza was good, and the party was great,
But the moonlight ride would have to wait.
For Jeff was half drunk by this time,
But he kissed her and said that he was just fine.

Then the room filled with smoke and Jeff took a puff,
Jenny couldn't believe he was smoking that stuff.
Now Jeff was ready to ride to the point,
But only after he'd smoked another joint.

They jumped in the car for the moonlight ride,
Not thinking that he was too drunk to drive.
They finally made it to the point at last,
And Jeff started trying to make a pass.

A pass is not what Jenny wanted at all,
(And by a pass I don't mean playing football).
"Perhaps my parents were right....maybe I am too young,
Boy, how could I ever, ever be so dumb

"With all her might, she pushed Jeff away,
"Please take me home, I don't want to stay".
Jeff cranked the engine and floored the gas,
In a matter of time they were going too fast.

As Jeff drove on in a fit of wild anger,
Jenny knew that her life was in danger.
She begged and pleaded for him to slow down,
But he just got faster as they neared the town.

"Just let me get home! I'll confess that I lied,
I really went out for a moonlight ride".
Then all of a sudden, she saw a big flash,
"Oh my god, Please help us". "We're going to die"

She doesn't remember the force of impact,
Just that everything all of a sudden went black.
She felt someone remover her from the twisted rubble,
And heard "Call an ambulance! These kids are in trouble".

Voices she heard.....a few words at best,
But she knew there were two cars involved in the wreck.
Then wondered to herself if Jeff was alright,
And if the people in the other car were alive.

She awoke in the hospital to faces so sad,
"You've been in a wreck and it looks pretty bad".
These voices echoed inside her head,
As they gently told her Jeff was dead.

They said "Jenny, we've done all we could do,
But it looks as is we'll lose you too".
"But the people in the car?" Jenny cried,
"We're sorry, Jenny, they also died".

Jenny prayed, "God, forgive me of what I have done,
I only wanted to have just one night of fun.
"Tell those people's family I've made their lives dim,
And I wish I could return their families to them".

"Tell Mom and Dad I'm sorry I lied,
And that it's my fault so many have died.
Oh, nurse, won't you please tell them that for me?",
The nurse just stood there, she never agreed.

But took Jenny's hand with tears in her eyes,
And a few moments late Jenny died.
A man asked the nurse, "Why didn't you do your best,
To bid that girls last request?".

She looked at the man with eyes so sad,
"Because the people in the other car were her mom and dad.
This story is sad and unpleasant but true,
So young people take heed, it could have been you.
If you only knew
I can't seem to find the right words to say
to tell you that I feel this way
I want you what can I do,
to make you want me next to you.
If you look at me you'll understand,
all I want is to hold your hand.
I felt this way oh for so long,
and it hurts me that I don't belong.
Wanting you to want me it's all a dream,
my heart aches I just want to scream.
I smile and laugh just thinking of you,
together here I wish it was true.

I always imagine of your gentle touch,
if only you knew that I felt this much.
Not being with you I'm falling apart,
cause I don't know how to get your heart.
If you could only see the love in my eyes,
of all those nights when I sat and cried.
Just look at me I'm standing right here,
just call out my name and I'll be there.
How long the wait I do not know,
but when that say comes I'll let it show.
If only you knew my feelings for you,
I'll stay hopeful you'll feel the same way too.
HUGS

There's something in a simple hug
That always warms the heart.
It welcomes us back home
And it makes it easier to part
A hug's a way to share the joy
And sad times we go through
Or just a way for friends to say
They like you 'cuz you're you'
Hugs are meant for anyone
For whom we really care
From your grandma to your neighbour
or a cuddly teddy bear
A hug is an amazing thing
It's just the perfect way
To show the lover we're feeling
But can't find the words to say
It's funny how a little hug
Makes everyone feel good
In every place and language
It's always understood
And hugs don't need new equipment
Special batteries or parts
Just open up your arms and open up your heart.
Never

        Never say I love you
        If you really don't care...
        Never talk about feelings
        If they aren't really there...
        Never hold my hand
If you are going to break my heart...
Never say you are going to
If you don't plan to start...
        Never look into my eyes
If all you do is lie...
        Never say hello
If you really mean good bye...
        If you really mean forever
Then say you will try... -
        Never say forever
        Cause forever makes me cry...
