If it was't for my friend Jun, I don't think I would have ever watched this anime. He told me to download it for him and he would pay me. Took me about a week to download all 52 episodes. I only got paid $5. Oh wells, poor college students.
Fushigi Yuugi, Mysterious Play in English. I really don't get the "Mysterious" part of this anime. Miaka is the main character. I tell you, she's no Belldandy. You ever saw a stupid girl? You haven't seen the stupidest until you watch Miaka. I don't understand why all the guys would like her. To make it worse, she thinks she likes them too. The biggest flaw is Miaka, which is why I gave this anime 1 star. But indeed the other characters are cool, so I will give it 3 stars. =P
Miaka and her best friend, Yui, some how goes into a book. They end up in a land and try to get back home. Some how Yui comes back to their reality and starts reading Miaka's life in the book. Everything that happens to Miaka, Yui feels it. The other characters are awesome. My favorite is Tamohome. Why? simple, he is cool. He is almost as cool as me, j/k. I think he is one of the best supporting actors of this anime. If it wasn't for him, this anime would be just a 1 star anime. This is a big drama series, if you like "DRAMA" this is an anime for you.
The OVA is confusing. I don't think I learned much but it just made my brain spin and I didn't get the other one, nor was I willing to find it. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the original anime itself. I guess if you liked the Fushigi Yuugi, then you should download it and get some kicks or whatever from it.
