No particular place in timeline, a time when Asuka's been in Japan and Touji hasn't been the you know who yet.

Genre: I'm not really sure. It's a way big step from the prequel.

ASUKA FINALLY LOSES IT

"CLOSE THE DAMN WINDOW!!!" Asuka screamed from the living room.
"What was that, Asuka? I didn’t hear you." Misato gave a sheepish grin.
Asuka sighed. "You never hear a damn word I say anymore. Ever since it happened."
"It? You’re referring to it as if everyone contracted a disease or something." Ritsuko said, taking a sip from her cup of coffee.
"Whatever." Asuka said, slamming down the window and sitting back down on the couch. "I’m so pathetic!" She whined.
"Why do you say that?" Ritsuko said.
"Everyone has someone! Even Touji. Blech!" Asuka made a face. "Why would anyone want to date an pervert like him???"
"People see other people in different ways." Misato said. "Plus, you and Touji did kind of start off on the wrong foot."
"You got that right!" Asuka said, putting her feet up. "He looked up my skirt! That’s just so…disgusting!"
The three sat around one of NERV’s relaxing rooms, a place where a member of NERV HQ could just sit down and relax and…stare out the window.
Asuka looked around the room. "Geez, how boring can this get?? No magazines…no nothing!"
Ritsuko looked at her watch and sighed. "It’s time."
"What, now?!?"
"Oh man, I can’t believe we have to go through this…again!" Asuka said, standing in the Purification room. "Seventeen times, seventeen times! That damn shower almost ripped my skin off!!!"
"Will you just stop whining for once," Shinji said, standing in the cubicle next to Asuka.
"Oh, OH!! Who are you to talk, lover boy???" Asuka retorted.
"You’re angry because you’re alone. And Kaji has Misato now." Shinji said.
"Hm! That’s not even the whole story!" Asuka said.
"And everyone has someone, even Hikari!" Shinji finished off.
Asuka’s eyes went wide. "You - !"
"Will you two just stop it for once!" Misato interrupted. "It can get really annoying."
"Oh really, OH REALLY?!?" Asuka screeched.
"Now this really is getting a bit too much." Shinji murmured to Rei.
"She’s jealous because everyone has someone to be with." Rei said.
"Jealous is an understatement." Shinji said.
"Will you two be quiet! And don’t peek!" Asuka said as she stepped out of the cubicle and headed for the opposite doors.
"Why would I want to peek at a…"
"Okay, shut up now, you guys! You have to be serious!" Misato said. "Now we’re turning the camera off."
"You mean it was on when I just stepped out?? Ugh, how disgusting, you guys make me SICK!"

Misato sighed. "She really is going crazy."
"Don’t worry, it’ll probably die down in a couple of days." Ritsuko said.
"Probably NOT." Misato said, crossing her arms. "She really is getting a bit much."
"You can’t handle being the caretaker of two children?"
"I CAN HANDLE IT!"
Ritsuko chuckled. "We’ll just see about that."
"Hey!"

Asuka settled into the seat, resting her hands on the butterfly handles. "And you, Shinji," she went on, "you just don’t even…"
"Okay, guys, we’re going to start now. The cameras are turned off, as well as the viewscreens."
"They better be," Asuka said.
Shinji sighed in his EVA Unit 01 Entry Plug. Why me??

Asuka rested her head in her hand, her elbow leaning on the desk. I’ve already completed college. What the hell am I doing here then??? She looked down at her uniform. And this uniform thing! She looked at Touji. Why doesn’t he ever wear a uniform? Eew, that jerk. And where’s Hikari??? She looked around the classroom, looking for her best friend…and there she was talking to…TOUJI?! Asuka narrowed her eyes. Figures.
Then she looked at Shinji, who was sitting quietly with Rei. Ech, this is pathetic. I hate feeling pathetic. It makes me feel…pathetic.
Asuka sighed. "THAT’S IT! I CAN’T STAND THIS ANYMORE!" She pushed her chair back and stood up from her desk, reaching for her bag. And from that she withdrew a…GIANT MACHINE GUN!?!
Asuka grinned evilly. "SAYONARA, SUCKERS!!!" She screeched madly, and continued to press the trigger.
"Asuka – No!" Shinji yelled, but his voice was drained out by the sounds of the gun blasts.
Asuka broke into evil hysterical laughter.
