Rain
Pearls of silver tears kiss unresponsive glass,
As they slide limply to the ground,
Into a pool of glassy luminescence.
The scent of sorrow is palpable,
Twisting into sluggish senses like a stimulant.
Driving sound to listen to the deafening silence,
Blurring sight into unrecognizable focus,
Sending scent to breathe in despair...
Causing the soul to weep
With the braces of silver threads
Of the sky's inconsolable tears.
The day has darkened to merge with night,
Chaos resolved into order,
As the haze in the mind's eye shifts and pulses,
Bringing forth the heavens' realization,
Of nothing meaning everything.
