My footsteps echo silently on the gravel path riddled with graves.
The sighing wind combs through my hair as I look up
And fall into an endless sky
That spirals out into a spider web of chaos.
I think I've been dreaming the entire time I thought I've been running,
And all the time I lived through is speeding backwards.
What was up is now down and everything's side-to-side;
No matter which way I move, it's all the same,
But all the monochromes I've seen have exploded into rainbows
That soar into a dive down into infinity.
I imagined I always knew who I was,
But I'm expanding my sense of self to the point where I lose it.
I can't remember who I am as I stare
Through my blindfolded eyes.
The stars slowly flower with the dying radiance of fading embers
And surge out in burning white road rage
That lights the night with destructive brilliance
With the dark, inescapable lunge of a tsunami wave.
I really want you,
But I don't know if I need you.
You're my castle in the sky.
As I stand alone in colorless space,
It's either you or Eden's Gate.
You can't tell me what to do,
But I really wish I could listen to you.
But, like me, you're a lost soul
And Hell's too good for us.
