Hi. I'm Tokyogrrl. I've been living in Japan for five years now.

The first three years were spent teaching English. Now, as a freelance writer, I've escaped from that mind-numbing profession.

As a freelance writer I have lots of time to pursue other activities such as: Website design (check out the first issue of my zine PixieQueen's Zine), making nifty little animation things, and my favorite activity--sleeping. Where is my favorite place to sleep in Tokyo? The Yamanote line! I like the way it circles continuously, which provides for a nice smooth sleep ride, and the movement of people getting on and off the train is soothing.
