My Sense of Direction
by Ryoga Hibiki
sung to the tune of "The Rainbow Connection" of "Muppet" fame
This song is too cute! I first saw it in Animerica Vol.5, No. 10. It was sung by Lee 'Lost Boy' Thompson at Project A-Kon 8. There was a funny little story that went with his experience singing it as he cosplayed as Ryouga. Enjoy!
Why are there so many damned intersections?
And which leads to where I am bound?
I'm just a warrior, and often a traveller
Who's lost long before he's found.
I'm in a city. . . I think it's called Moscow,
And no one here speaks Japanese.
Someday I'll find it, my sense of direction,
If I can just get out of Tennessee!
Some folks use compasses, and some folks use landmarks,
While others just go by the stars.
I have tried all of that, and none of it works right!
I ended up in El-Hazard.
How I wound up in another dimension. . .
Well, if you have a clue, please tell me!
Someday I'll find it, my sense of direction
If I could just get out of Tripoli!
Why am I going through Hell?
You probably all think it's tragic. . .
Have you been running blind? And have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name.
It's not the pround sound that comes to young warriors,
It's a taunt that pokes fun and brings shame:
They call out, "You moron! This here is Shikoku!"
"What's the matter? Don't you have a brain?!!"
But someday I'll find it! My sense of direction!
If I could just ge-*SPLASH* (Ranma interjects with handy bucket)
Bwee bw-bwee bwee bwee bwee bwee,
Bwee bwee bw-bwee bwee bwee bwee bweeeee!
If you have any comments, send them here! I'm sue the 'Lost Boy' would like them!
I wanna see more lyrics!
