Chptr#5 Denial

Ash and Misty were in battle poses as Brock and Samari watch.

Brock: This ought to be interesting...

Samari: Why do you say that?

Brock: Well Ash and Misty have, I guess a “thing” for each other which I don’t think they’ll ever tell each other. Also, they haven’t battled each other...since...uh...the Cerulean Gym battle which was a very long time ago.

Samari: Woah.. you’re right. I guess this will be interesting.

Ash: Okay! How many pokémon?

Misty: 2 for 2 works for me!

Ash::slyly w/ a small smirk:: No call backs?!

Misty: Fine! Don’t think I’ll go easy on ya cuz you’re my....um friend! Heh..heh..

Ash: And don’t think I’ll go easy on you because I think of you::whispers to self:: as my girlfriend....::out loud:: My friend,too...!

Misty, hearing him looks at Ash and barely gasps.

Brock and Samari gasp.

Brock: Quietly:: What?! I didn’t expect that to happen...!!

Samari::to Brock:: Cat’s out of the bag now huh?

Brock: Yeah....

Ash looks at them staring at him and Misty covering her mouth. Realizing what he had said, he blushes and covers his mouth too. Misty puts down her pokéball slowly and blushes hard.

Misty::stammering a bit:: You...wha..what?

Ash is so embarrassed, he covers his red face.

Brock::whispers to Samari:: I wonder what’s gonna happen now...

Misty puts down her bag and walks over to Ash, who was sitting on a rock, with his head in his arms ( and in his pjs) Pikachu’s by his side trying to calm him down.

Ash::thinking:: I can’t believed I did that!! Why?! I just...ah..can’t believe I actually denied it.. I mean.... now of all times...oh man...!! What do I do?!?

Misty::behind Ash,puts her hand on his shoulder:: Ash...I...

Ash turns around slowly. His expression’s sad and confused.

Misty::trying to make a conversation:: Ash.. I-

Ash::interrupting her:: You don’t have to say anything...::sniffles:: I’ll just get out of your life now...!
Picks up his back pack and runs off, deeper into the woods.

Misty::a bit tearful:: NO! ASH! PLEASE! I’M NOT TRYING TO- ::sighs as she loses sight of Ash::

Pikachu reluctantly follows.

Pikachu::turning to others:: Pika, Pikachu...Pika-pi... ( Sorry guys. but I’ll try to get him to come back.)
He follows Ash.

Misty: Hey wait!! PIKACHU!

Pikachu::calling after Ash:: PIKA-PI!!! (ASH!!)
