Hk or Jp ? Information
Have you ever bought a card, or a lot that you though was the higher quality JP series of Cards, but when you got them found out that they are the HK cards instead? I have ! And I was NOT happy about it! But some seller will never tell you which cards they are. This page will help determine.
HK and JP Cards
These cards are of lesser value then the Jp series. Sailor Moon originated in Japan therefore worth more from there. Also the HK cards are said to be of lower quality for some reason. The images and card collections are all the same. The HK series is still nice to collect if you are not looking for the value just the card. Lots of trades/Sales card pages will list cards they have in HK and Jp! You should always notice that the HK cards prices should ALWAYS be less.
On the Back of all cards is printed the
company that printed the card (ex. Bandai) and the year .
Also states where the card was made. (EX. Made In Japan) The HK cards state:
"Bandai (H.K.) CO. LTD. (YEAR)" *carddass cards
Also over on the other side cards usually all say "Licensed by Animation International"
Below is a list of cards and how you can tell by a scan if they are HK or JP!
Banpresto/Bromide/Petite/Battle Cards
I have never seen any of these cards printed in the HK series!
PP (Pull Pack) Cards
These cards are hard to tell if they are HK or JP unless you look at the back! I haven't seen very many of these cards around, but I have seen some from china.
Carddass/ Graffiti Cards
Carddass is the card set I believe with the most HK cards! Whole sets have been sold as the HK version. These cards are easy to determine if they are HK or JP.

Notice the difference between the two cards? The Japan card is more like glitter, while the Hk is more a prismatic feature! All the carddass cards up until Carddass 7 are like this. The Pic shown above is the Moon Symbol. For Sailor Moon

Once you hit The Carddass 7 series, the Jp cards become gold instead of the glitter look, yet the HK cards still stay the prismatic silver or gold color.

Graffiti Cards are much like the carddass, while one looks more like glitter , the other is more prismatic.

Does this Help? Feel free to e-mail me with any question! Also note that some seller might reuse picture and use a HK scan for a JP card! My best suggestion, ask the seller if this is the actual scan of the cards. Or simply if the card is Hk or Jp.
