mYsTiK: There was once a girl named Okada Takiko (who lived about 200 years before Miaka's time. Her father was Okada Einosuke, the translator of the Book of the Four Gods. While he was translating the book, Takiko started reading the book and got sucked into the World of the Four Gods as Genbu no Miko. During this time, Kotou was trying to invade Hokkan. (Notice how it's always Kotou that's invading other countries?) Genbu no Miko was successful in summoning all her seven seishi, and then summoned Genbu while wearing a special necklace. She probably wished to defeat Kotou, and then afterwords, returned to her world, while leaving her necklace behind, which became the Genbu Shinzaho. Two extremely loyal seishi, Hikitsu and Tomite, stayed behind to guard her Shinzaho. Genbu tried to follow her back to her world, which left a giant crater called the "Cave of Genbu." Genbu then started to absorb her. Her father, Einosuke, realized this was happening and gave the translated book to his friend Oosugi Takoa, (whose daughter consequently became Byakko no Miko, but we won't get into that.) Then, Einosuke killed his daugher and himself before Genbu could absorb her. This was the fate of a miko. Anyways, 200 years later, Miaka and her group come bouncing along looking for the Shinzaho so that they can summon Suzaku. Nuriko had just died, but before he died, he had managed to open the doors of the Cave of Genbu, where the necklace lies. They walk down a long tunnel and see skeletons lying around. Then, they encounter the two Genbu seishi, who at first tries to dispose of them. However, Tasuki's tessen REALLY comes in handy against ice magic, but the Genbu seishi obviously cannot be defeated since they are just spirits and cannot be harmed in any way. Miaka explains that she is Suzaku no Miko and begs them for the Shinzaho. Hikitsu and Tomite agree to test her. "Take off your clothes," Tomite tells her. Everyone's like, "HUH??? WHAT KIND OF PERVERT ARE YOU?" Tomite says they can fight it off, if they don't agree... Miaka says "Okay! I'll do it!" She takes off your clothes to her undies, and then the Genbu seishi freeze her. Tamahome rushes to help, but is blocked off by an unmeltable ice wall. Miaka is frozen completely. Then, she sees Nuriko. Nuriko tells her that there is something special about her. The gauntlets that Nuriko gave Miaka before she died glows, and the ice shatters. The Genbu seishi are shocked. Miaka asks them if she can have the Shinzaho now. They take her to a door, where the necklace lays. It's actually quite pretty. All nice and gold and stuff. Miaka is gleeful and thinks she can summon Suzaku now. Tomite's like, "Uh...You've gotta get the Byakko Shinzaho also..." So, Miaka and her group set off to find the Byakko seishi. Tomite and Hikitsu say that they're going back to the sky, since their job in now done. "200 years is a long time..." And with that, they depart.
