Karaoke

Karaoke is very popular among Korean people. Karaoke is called norebang in Korean (means 'room of songs'). They are called 'Music Studio' in English, because they usually provide a small room in which private party can sing loud or crazy without other people's presence. They have lots of English songs (and some Japanese songs at most of karaoke places), so why don't you try singing at norebang!

The most popular norebang in LA. You'll see a sign on the corner of Whilshire and Wilton. Entrance and parking at rear.

Cafe

Korean cafe (pronounced 'kape') is somewhat different from regular coffee shop which serve only coffee, tea, and some light meal like sandwitch or muffin. Cafe usually serves not only coffee but also food and drink. Coffee at Korean cafe is usually expensive (regular coffee is about $3.50). People usually go to cafeafter dinner or to chat with friends.

Korean Cultural Center
They host free Korean movie on Wednesday and Thursday of the last week every month. Refreshments are also provided (they are complementary too!) They have nice selections of Korean movies.
