Bonsai in Queensland - Australia

 

The Brisbane Botanic Gardens - Mt Coot-tha
The Bonsai House next to the Japanese Garden is the most recent addition to the Gardens. Featuring over 300 miniaturised trees including figs, conifers, camellias, azaleas and maples the collection displays varied styles - upright, semi-cascade, cascade, exposed root, root over rock, clump groups and forests. Some specimens are over 80 years old.
Bonsai House is open 10am to 12 noon, 1pm to 3pm weekdays and 10am to 3pm weekends

Chinatown - Brisbane
Features a wide variety of Chinese market shops and restaurants. Located in Fortitude Valley, about 3 mi/5 km from Brisbane city center. Not Bonsai but may be of interest.

The Japanese Garden: Ju Raku En - Toowoomba
This is Australia's largest and most traditionally designed Japanese garden. Visitors will experience the combination of ancient and Japanese garden art forms as they wander through the beautiful landscape. Three kilometres of stroll paths meander through the 4.5 hectares of garden. This culturally unique garden is located on the campus of The University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba.

Bonsai Nursery (Brisbane) Welcome to Lindsay & Glenis Bebb's Bonsai Nursery - The nursery is open from 8.30am until 5pm, 7 days a week, and you are welcome to browse our extensive product range. Our BYO Coffee Shop is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am until 3pm for light refreshments or alfresco dining. located at 310 Musgrave Rd, Coopers Plains. This is about 15 - 20 minutes south of Brisbane .
