The story begins in the year 3000 when evil scientist Tate Darkson creates a naga. After creating his first successful prototype, he proceeded to improve them into the Co-Nagas and the TregaNagas. He decided that when he had enough of these robots he could have enough power to conquer the world. Hearing his little speech, his good brother John Darkson decided that he alone could stop his brother because no one was going to believe him. Working like mad John created the basic idea of a com unit. But for his idea to work he would have to create a safe source of energy powerful enough to fuse living and mechanical parts together. He finally discovered what would later be known as Iro-Carbon. John knew that it was too soon to test the rock on a living being so he tested the power of his rock by putting it in three prototype jets called: the XZ1, XZ2, XZ3. If the source was going to be powerful enough it would allow the jets to reach Match 20. The Iro-Carbon worked. Not only did the jets achieve that speed but also they passed it and exploded. Knowing that his operation had been a big success he proceeded to make three com units. Just as he was finishing the third of the units his brother, Tate, crushed through the door of John's secret underground laboratory. Tate introduced his powerful nagas and threatened to destroy the com units. Making a large effort, John managed to push a button that made the units shoot out in protective capsules and crash at three, unknown points in the world. At that precise moment and earthquake with a magnitude that went out of the Richer Scale stroke the Earth. The world was virtually destroyed…

The story takes up again in the year 3198. After the giant earthquake that had stricken the in 3001, the little resources that Earth had left were used to create weapons for what was later known as the RoboWW III. This name was given because robots were the main combat weapons. Now the world was in peace and united into one government and violence and suffering was a thing of the pass. This didn't last very long because Tate Darkson III discovers the research done by his grandfather. Tate figures that the plan to conquer the world cannot fail because with the world at peace there were almost no weapons. Tate thought that if nobody knew about the com units nobody would try to find them. He starts the mass production of TregaNagas and Co-nagas.

Mac Trekker, Jass Droke, and Ax Cushing were the world's last and only line of defense (although at this point they didn't know that). Seniors at he high school, they went after school to the woods on the back GoodVille, their home city. Then they discover what Mr. Darkson III had planned by accidentally finding his naga-manufacturing center. Discovered by Co-Nagas they run and hide in a cavern. In there they find a capsule with one of the com units. Mac accidentally starts the interface transforming himself into Firecom. He was to become a leader of the Cybercoms. A message engraved in the suit's memory tells them the whole story. Being a com Mac is able to track down the other com units for his friends. The second unit located in the Himalayas is activated by Ax turning him into Sigmacom. The third unit, which is located in what used to be Big Ben in London, is finally put on Jass. But he doesn't get the unit easy because a specially design, super intelligent naga puts it on first. Jass figuring out that the Co-Naga still has the weak spot hits the com in the head with a rock. The naga is destroyed and Jass finally puts on the final com becoming Shieldcom.

    After the battle for the third com the heroes find three chips in the old laboratory of John Darkson. These chips, when implanted on the com's chest, gave the units special attacks. Mac was able to create the Mega Blastron, which is a massive ray of energy. Ax created the Energy Drive, a tornado of lasers that he could direct at his opponents. Jass had de Comet Flare, which was a ball of lasers that would cover his entire body (kind of like a comet) and he could blast his enemies at light speed. At this point the only free city left on Earth is Geminis 9. A city located right by the mountain where the laboratory was found. Also Tate's main center of operations was located only fifty miles from the city. When a TregaNaga is send the coms try to use their Ultra Moves. They worked but only because the TregaNaga was weak. The next day, the coms were introduced to the CrossNaga. After killing it in battle, another TregaNaga appeared ready to attack. Mac had a surprise, he had created real Iro-Carbon and used it to power another robot made from the pieces of the XZ jets, enter Segatrox II. From that moment the battle to free the Earth still goes on...
