Review of chapter 1: Soujirou met his friend Izumi on his
journey. Someone nearly killed Izumi and Soujirou is accused
for killing the someone's wife. They are about to go to find
the someone and Izumi dresses just alike Soujirou so that they
look like twins.
It was just a trick
Chapter 2: A great surprise
Izumi went out the house. She turned to Soujirou and
smiled. When Soujirou saw her he looked as white as he just
saw a ghost.
"Don't I look nice?" she asked smiling. All Soujirou could
manage was to nod his headso fiercely that it nearly came off
his body.
"Izumi...why did you cut your hair and wore my clothes?" He
still looked very white.
"Isn't it like me to look just like you when a battle comes?"
"So you're the old Izumi again? Great! I didn't quite like the
new you because of your girlish ways." He didn't look at Izumi
but if he were then he would be on his guards because the very
next moment, Izumi was hitting him on the head.
"Ok,Ok, I was joking. So, where does the man live?" SOujirou
asked. They stood there not saying anything and then the wind
blows.
"I don't know...." was Izumi's plain answer.
"If you don't know then, how are we going to find him?"
"You can't blame me for that you know? I was fainted,
remember?"
"I don't blame you for that but now, how are we going to find
him?"
"We could wander nex town cause I think I heard him say he was
going there."
"Ok. Let's get going then."
They walked off and arrived to their destination after about
one hour. Izumi led Soujirou to the market but he was astonished
because she should take him to there.
"Izumi, can I ask u why you took me to the market?"
"Yes, of course because there may be a lot of things worth
buying...ah no...I mean I thought the man would come here to buy
food...."
"If the man has an army with him as you said then I think he
would be a rich man and has a lot of servants so why would he come
to the market and buy his own food?" remarked Soujirou.
"Oh, I haven't thought of it. But maybe with a bit of luck,we'll
find him before dark and we'll have somewhere to sleep." Izumi
cleverly changed the subject.
"Ok, but let's go somewhere else, please..."
"Ok. Let's go...Oh wait a minute! It's him. The one earing a purple
shirt and white pants! Let's go after him." Izumi grabbed Soujirou's
arm and ran like mad to the man but Soujirou stpped when they were
closer to the man and could see his face.
"Izumi, is that really the man you were takling about?" Soujirou
looked very confused.
"Yes, it's him but do you need to be so confused?"
"But he is Himura-san!" replied Soujirou looking more and more
confused.
"Is he? I haven't seen Himura-san so I don't know but I can tell
you for sure that it's this man that attacked us."
"This is really confusing. I better go and ask him or else, I'm sure
that I won't sleep for the next few days."
"Ok, Let's go."
They approched the man but the man looked really confused when
he saw them.
"Himura-san! Are you Himura-san?" Soujirou asked.
"Hai! Oh Soujirou, how nice to meet you again. What about your
journey? Found your answer? But oh! Soujirou why is there another you
behind you? I didn't know you had a twin. This will be very confusing
because I'll never be able to distinguish who is who and by the way,
what is his name?"
"Himura-san, wait. I will explain everything to you later but can
you answer me some quetions first?"
"Hai! As you please."
"Good then. Well, had you by any chance led an army to a nearby
village?"
"Yes I did."
"Did you ever nearly killed a girl in that village who opposed you?"
"I guess so."
"Did you capture all the villagers to be your servants?"
"I guess you can call it that way."
"Then it's really you but why did you do that?"
"Well, I guess I'll have to tell you the truth. It is because..."
Suddenly they heard someone shouting for help. Soujirou and Kenshin
ran to the rescue the person but when they arived, Izumi was already
finished and dusting off her clothes. Soujirou went to pat her shoulder.
"Woaw, you did it really fast!"
"Of course! It's basically because I changed your clothes. It's a lot
easier in them."
Kenshin looked at them in a ridiculous way.
"Soujirou, can you lend me your clothes?"
"Why do you want them, Himura-san?"
"Maybe I could get faster in them."
"Oh Himura-san, you misunderstood. Izumi is a girl. She of couse is
faster in male clothes than in female clothes. And she's not my twin."
"Oh! That explains it perfectly. You two looked so much alike that I
thought you were twins. I should be going home cause Kaoru would be
waitingfor me."
"Wait Himura-san. You called her Kaoru?" Soujirou looked puzzled
"Yes. We got married last month!"
"Why not come to the dojo and eat dinner with us?"
"Oh Himura-san..." started Soujirou.
"Thank you very much." said Izumi with a wink.
"All right. Let's go then."
They walked back to the dojo just in time for dinner but
unfortunatlly, it was Kaoru cooking today so they didn't eat much.
After dinner, they all began chatting.
"Himura-san. You still didn't tell me why you took a whole army
to the nearby village and all that." Soujirou looked at Kenshin.
"Well, I did that to bring you here cause I wanted to see you."
Kenshin laughed wickedly.
"You wanted to see me?"
"Yup! Just kidding. You know? the whole village helped to sell
opium so the police asked me to help them and I heard you were in
the village so I used this occasion to find you."
"Oh! so desu ne!"
The next morning, Izumi was walking towards Soujirou's bedroom
when Kenshin called.
"Soujirou!"
"Himura-san, I'm Izumi."
"Oh, sorry Izumi but you two are too much alike. I can't tell who
is who."
"Izumi, you're here? Good. I just wanted to find you. Time to go."
Soujirou came out of his room.
"Hai! Goodbye Himura-san. Can you say goodbye for us to everyone?"
"Yes, I will. Goodbye Soujirou. Goodbye Izumi. And good luck!"
"Goodbye!"
Kenshin watghed them go till they disappered.
"Good luck. Hope to see you soon. I think I'll be able to tell you
apart next time I see you." Kenshin went back into the house.
