cool clothes, artsy atmosphere, colorful relationships, this story could almost be framed and put in a museum. mikato and tsutomu were neighbors since they were in kindergarten, so a love relationship between them is unthinkable. atleast that's what mikato thought, until she saw body-ko kiss tsutomu. what's to come is something only a mangaka like ai yazawa could think up. *

joan of arc was a saint and martyr from a time long ago, however her spirit is within a mysterious thief from the present. with the help of a holy rosary a normal highschool girl named maron transforms into the demon fighter kamikaze kaitou jeanne. in the name of God she battles demons who try to take the beauty from humans, and in so doing, the power from God. these demons hide away in beautiful paintings that jeanne steals. her best friend (not knowing maron is jeanne) tries to capture jeanne, but as of yet is not successful in her mission. along with other characters such as finn, access, chiaki, and theif sinbad, kkj is an excellent manga that is filled with deceit, friendship, loyalties, love, unsuspected curves, and room for growing maturity. to find translations and more, follow the star. * (page defunct?)

haru is a member on the swim team whose best friend, aki, died in a car crash before he could confess his love for her. but worry not, a new student, seki, is also in love with haru. a one-sided love at first site, actually. but doesn't seki also love kanda, his best friend? not like that you silly monkey! a quest for a two-sided love and a tale of first loves, filled with humor and a touch of humanity, nervous venus is a must read. *

miyuki-chan in wonderland (manga)
a revolving door. that is the simplest way i can explain this manga. a very funny revolving door. miyuki-chan and her adventures in a crazy, hentai wonderland. this is not your average 'behind the looking glass' tale. the eight stories range from strip poker to video game madness, and there's even a spoof on 'x'. best yet, not a one leaves you without a sore chest from laughing too much. this is CLAMP at their funniest, and a must read.
