The Story of NEON GENESIS EVANGELION began in the year 2000 A.D. A huge object crashed onto the South Pole, causing a great impact on Earth, known as "The Second Impact". Disasters soon occured. The ice melts causing great floods, economy collasping, racial disputes, internal conflicts and half of the population on Earth is dead.
15 years later, 2015 A.D., people began to rebuild what was destroyed during "The Second Impact" but was intercepted by what was called "Angels" or "Shito". They proclaim themselves as 'messager from GOD' and to destroy humankind...
At that time an organisation was formed, named "NERV" and created the ' Human Shaped Final Battle Weapon', known as Evangelion (EVA). By that time, three of these were completed. EVA00, EVA01 and EVA02. Three pilots were also recuited. They are Shinji Ikari, Rei Ayanami, and Asuka Langley.
