The actual Trowa Barton was a man three years Nanashi's ( Triton ) senior. According to the producers, Trowa was headstrong, brash, aggressive, and immature. Not much was known of the relationship between Trowa Barton and Nanashi except for the fact that Trowa enjoyed bothering Nanashi as Nanashi was a passive individual and was considered stupid by Trowa.
Meanwhile, Heavyarms was being built within the Bartons household. It was found that Operation Meteor was in reality an operation planned by the Barton Foundations that involved dropping a colony into Earth and killing countless people on Earth. Professor S and his associate, who were opposed to the operation, killed the real Trowa Barton when he threatened to inform his family of their disagreement. Nanashi, who was present at the scene, eventually took up Trowa's name and went to Earth in place of the dead man.
